Accessing Paycheck Information via Payroll Self Service While at Work
NOTE: Internet Explorer (IE) 7, 8 and 9 are the only supported Browsers for the
PeopleSoft Self Service applications. For IE 9 compatibility view should be turned off. See the Troubleshooting section of this document for information on turning off compatibility view. If you experience technical problems using Self Service, or if your User ID, Password or Account is locked; contact the Help Desk at: 1-800-303-3290 or 1-504-568-HELP (4357) or the
helpdesk@lsuhsc.edu (mailto:helpdesk@lsuhsc.edu) . Also, passwords can be changed and/or accounts unlocked by accessing the LSUHSC Change Password page at:
www.lsuhsc.edu/changepassword (http://www.lsuhsc.edu/changepassword)
Warning! We recommend against using public or shared computers to access Self-
Service. To protect the security of this information, it is important for you to follow the sign out procedures in this document, delete the Internet cache prior to closing the browser, and confirm ALL browser windows are closed at the end of your session.

Procedure
In this topic you will learn how to retrieve your paycheck information using On-Campus Access.

1. Click the Internet Explorer icon.

2. From the LSU Health New Orleans homepage (http://www.lsuhsc.edu/), click the Self-Service icon.

3. Click the Employee Self-Service link.
4. Enter "Your User ID" into the User ID field.
NOTE: Your User ID will automatically convert to Upper Case however, passwords are case sensitive.
5. Enter the desired information into the Password field. Enter "Your Password".

6. Click the Sign In button.

8. Click the Self Service menu option.
9. Click the Payroll and Compensation menu option.
10. Click the View Paycheck menu option.

11. On the View Paycheck page, select the paycheck advice you would like to view by clicking its date under the Check Date column.

12. The online paycheck advice will display as an Adobe .pdf file.
Click the Maximize/Restore button.
13. You may print your paycheck by clicking the Print button.

14. You would make any needed changes on the page and then click the Print button.

15. You can also save your paycheck to a secure location on your computer.
Click the Page button.
16. Click the Save As... menu.

17. You would select where you wish to save the document, change the file name if needed, and then click the Save button.

19. To exit the Self Service system, you must click the Sign out link in the upper right corner of the screen.

Any information viewed during this PeopleSoft Self Service session will be saved to your browser’s Internet cache on the computer you are using and may be viewed by others who may use this computer. We recommend against using public or shared computers to access Self-Service. To protect the security of this information, delete the Internet cache prior to closing the browser, and confirm ALL browser windows are closed at the end of your session. If you need

How to Delete a Browser's Internet Cache
Delete Browsing History using Internet Explorer (IE) 8 and above
ProcedureIn this topic you will learn how to Delete Browsing History Internet Explorer (IE) 8 and above.
Step Action
1. Click the Safety drop down menu.
NOTE: If you do not see the Safety menu, see the Troubleshooting Section, No Safety Menu topic.
2. Click the Delete Browsing History... menu.

3. NOTE: If the Preserve Favorites website data option is checked, you must uncheck it. The Temporary Internet files, Cookies, and History must be selected.
If these options are not selected, click the check box to the left of each to select them.

Delete Browsing History using Internet Explorer
Internet Explorer 71. From the Tools menu, select Internet Options.
2. Under "Browsing history", click Delete.
3. To delete your cache, click Delete files.
4. Click Close, and then click OK to exit.
NOTE: For information on how to clear the cache of commonly used, but non supported browsers, please see Clear Commonly Used Non Supported Browser's Internet Cache at the end of this document.
5. After the cache is cleared, click the X to close the browser window and confirm ALL browser windows are closed.
Troubleshooting
Turn on the Menu Bar and Safety Menu

1. If you do not see a Menu Bar on your Internet Explorer window, you can turn the Menu Bar option on.
Right-click in the light blue area surrounding the URL field. A pop-up menu will display.

NOTE: If the Safety Menu Bar option does not display on the Menu Bar, you can find it on the Command Bar.

4. Ensure the first box, Include updated website lists from Microsoft is checked and the next two boxes, Display intranet sites in Compatibility View and Display all Websites in Compatibility View are unchecked.

Clearing Commonly Used, Non-Supported Browsers Internet Cache
For information on how to clear the cache of commonly used, but non supported browsers, please see below. Please note, LSU Health does not provide technical support for running the application in these browsers.
Reminder: To protect your privacy and prevent unauthorized use of your System ID, 1) sign out of the self-service application, 2) clear the browser’s cache and 3) close all web browser windows.

1. In the browser bar, enter: chrome://settings/clearBrowserData 2. Select the Empty the cache.
You can choose the period of time for which you want to clear cached information from the Obliterate the following items from: drop-down menu. To clear your entire cache, select the beginning of time.
3. Click Clear browsing data.
Firefox 3.5 and above for Windows
1. From the Tools menu, select Clear Recent History.
2. From the Time range to clear: drop-down menu, select the desired ranges; to clear your entire cache, select Everything.
3. Click the down arrow next to "Details" to choose Cache. Click Clear Now.
Firefox 3 for Windows
1. From the Tools menu, select Clear Recent History… and then select Cache.
2. Click Clear Recent History.
Firefox 3.5 and above for Mac OS X
1. From the Tools menu, select Clear Recent History.
2. From the Time range to clear: drop-down menu, select the desired ranges; to clear your entire cache, select Everything.
3. Click the down arrow next to "Details" to choose which elements to clear. Click Clear Now.
Firefox 3 for Mac OS X
1. In Firefox, from the Tools menu, select Clear Recent History.
2. Select Cache and then click Clear Private Data Now.
Safari
1. From the Safari menu, select Reset Safari.
2. From the menu, select the items you want to reset, and then click Reset. As of Safari 5.1, Remove all website data covers both cookies and cache.
Mobile Safari for iPhone OS (iPhone, iPod touch, iPad) To clear cache and cookies:
1. From the home screen, tap Settings, and then tap Safari.
2. At the bottom of Safari's settings screen, tap the button for Clear Cache. To confirm, tap Clear Cache again.
