We carefully select all our hotels for comfort, location, cuisine and value for money. All bedrooms are en suite, and most hotels have a lift. Those without usually have ground floor rooms available. Most of the hotels in this brochure are either 3 or 4 star rating, and those of 2 star will still offer high quality accommodation. Please note most European hotels do not have Tea/Coffee facilities in the bedrooms.

All holidays in this brochure qualify for our door to door service. You will be collected from your home (street level) using one of our own vehicles, or a respected partner company. Many areas within Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire qualify for this free service.

If you live outside these areas it may still be possible to join our door to door service, however a supplement will apply. Please call for details.

The Cumbria Grand Hotel, Grange-over-Sands, is set in 20 acres of private gardens and woodlands overlooking Morecambe Bay.

Itinerary Monday Day 1

Depart after our door to door service in the morning travelling to Cumbria and arriving in time for dinner at Cumbria Grand Hotel. 4 nights stay – dinner, bed and breakfast, plus ‘All Inclusive’

package.

Tuesday Day 2 Today we travel via the shores of Lake Windermere to Hawkshead. We take a break here before returning to Grange via Coniston Water. A packed lunch is included today.

Wednesday Day 3 We travel via the medieval village of Cartmel and on to the fascinating Lakeland Motor Museum. We return to hotel for light lunch and the afternoon is free for you to relax and explore Grange over Sands.

Thursday Day 4 Today we visit Keswick where today is market day. . A packed lunch is included today and this afternoon we take a break in delightful Grasmere village.

Friday Day 5

After breakfast we begin our journey home, and meet our door to door service during the afternoon.

Based in Grange-over-Sands this spring tour takes in many of the Lake Districts popular attractions. We enjoy excursions to Keswick, Hawkshead and Coniston, as well as a visit to the popular Lakeland Motor museum. The Cumbria Grand hotel enjoys views overlooking

A Regency Hotel with an unrivalled position on Sidmouth’s elegant Esplanade. Uninterrupted views of Sidmouth beach, Lyme Bay and the red rock Jurassic cliffs of East Devon’s coastline. Following our morning door to door service we make our way towards South Devon, after a stop to purchase lunch, arriving late afternoon at our hotel.

Tuesday Day 2

Today after breakfast we travel to Exmouth, one of the oldest and most picturesque seaside towns in Devon. The town is the gateway to the World Heritage Jurassic Coast and has two miles of sandy beach. The town offers a diverse selection of shops, places to eat and things to do.

Wednesday Day 3

We travel the short distance to Seaton to join the trams for a return journey. We then head to Honiton for free time to explore the town.

Thursday Day 4

After a leisurely breakfast this morning, we enjoy a free day relaxing in Sidmouth. Along the front is the Millennium Walkway which stretches the length of the beach, providing the perfect background for an afternoon stroll.

Friday Day 5

After breakfast we begin our journey home, and meet our door to door service during the afternoon.

We are pleased to return to the popular Jurassic Coast resort of Sidmouth, staying at the highly respected Royal York & Faulkner Hotel on the sea front. We include a ride on the Seaton Tramway, as well as visits to Honiton and Exmouth.

Today is ‘York in a nutshell’.

After breakfast we are joined by our tour guide for a comprehensive morning sightseeing tour of York.

The afternoon we enjoy a cruise on the river Ouse with Yorkboat with free time afterwards in York.

Wednesday Day 3 Our first stop is Pickering where we join the North Yorkshire Moors Railway for a ride across the moors as we make our way to historic Whitby, with its ruined Abbey atop the cliff overlooking the busy harbour.

Thursday Day 4

We have the morning free for further exploration of York.

This afternoon we visit delightful Castle Howard, where we have time to explore the house and the lovely grounds.

Friday Day 5

After breakfast we begin our journey home, and meet our door to door service during the afternoon.

Saturday Day 1

Following our morning door to door service we head north for our overnight stay, The Winnock Hotel, Drymen.

Sunday Day 2

Today, we travel through the spectacular Scottish Highlands towards the Kyle of Lochalsh. We cross the magnificent Skye road bridge onto the Isle of Skye itself and enjoy the scenic drive past the dramatic Cuillin Hills and through the island's capital, Portree. We arrive at the port of Uig from where we take a ferry to Lochmaddy on the Isle of Benbecula, our destination for the next two nights (Dinner on ferry) Monday Day 3

We start by exploring South Uist, an island of the Outer Hebrides with crystal clear water and white powder beaches. We drive past the ruins of the 18th century Ormacleit Castle towards the

Isle of Eriskay, which is linked to South Uist by a stone causeway. The beautiful little island of Eriskay is home to the bay where Bonnie Prince Charlie first set foot on Scottish soil.

It is also known for its famous ponies, which are semi-wild and often seen wandering around the village.

We also hope to visit the Hebridean Jewellery Shop and Workshop.

Tuesday Day 4

Today, we travel across North Uist, alongside 13 miles of stunning sandy beaches, fresh water lochs and rolling moorland hills before reaching Berneray, reputedly one of HRH Prince Charles' favourite destinations. From here, we board the ferry to Leverburgh on the Isle of Harris, which offers an incredibly diverse landscape.

Wednesday Day 5

Today we enjoy a tour of the island's fantastic scenery.

Lewis is the largest and most populated of the Western Isles, although it remains refreshingly unspoilt and uncrowded. Home to some of the most important seabird colonies in the UK, the Isle of Lewis is a haven to all forms of wildlife. During our circular tour, we visit Carloway Broch, an ancient Iron Age

fortification and enjoy a visit to the mystic Calanais Visitor Centre where we will be able to see the Callanish Standing Stones, one of the best preserved megalithic sites in the whole of Scotland. We also visit Gearrannan Blackhouse Village and step back in time as we

experience the way of life in a typical crofting township of the 19th century.

Thursday Day 6

This morning, we enjoy some free time to relax and explore the town of Stornoway before boarding the early afternoon ferry to Ullapool where we

continue to the Ben Wyvis Hotel, Strathpeffer, arriving in time for dinner.

Friday Day 7

We leave the beauty of northern Scotland and head south to our overnight hotel, Gretna Hall Hotel, Gretna Green.

Saturday Day 8

After breakfast we head for home. We will make a stop to purchase lunch, and meet our door to door service late afternoon.

We return to the 3-star Hotel Rex which is situated on the Esplanade overlooking the stunning Weymouth Beach and the Jurassic Coastline beyond. The Harbour, with its busy fishing fleet, is always a hive of activity and just a few yards away. Hotel facilities include a lounge, licensed bar, internet access and a passenger lift that serves all floors.

Please note there are steps up to the hotel and on some room levels.

Itinerary Sunday Day 1

After our morning door to door service we head south west, and after a break to purchase lunch we arrive at The Hotel Rex during the afternoon.

Monday Day 2

Today we start with the short journey by coach to Portland.

The tied Island marks the southernmost point on the Jurassic Coast and is joined to the mainland by Chesil Beach. Its isolated location, quaint villages and rocky, coastal scenery give the island its own special atmosphere. Following a brief stop we travel to

Abbotsbury Gardens. The hills that shelter the village provide a warm microclimate, allowing many exotic and unusual species of plant to thrive at the Subtropical Gardens.

Tuesday Day 3

We join the coach and travel to Poole, well known for having Europe’s largest natural harbour, a bustling quayside and beautiful historic old town. We enjoy free time here and also include a boat cruise from the harbour.

Over the years Weymouth has proved to be one of our most popular destinations. Its seafront is an impressive backdrop to the long arc of fine, golden sand. The views from the bay are spectacular, taking in the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline. We stay at the Hotel Rex once again and include visits to Portland, Abbotsbury Gardens and Poole, including a boat cruise from Poole harbour.

The Northfield Hotel, in nearly 2 acres of landscaped gardens reputed to have been laid out by Gertrude Jekyll. Enjoy wonderful views from the elevated position from the coast to the Quantocks, Brendon hills and indeed Exmoor itself. Each en suite room has free Wi-Fi and flat screen Tv. The hotel has a lift and indoor swimming pool.

Itinerary Monday Day 1

After our morning door to door service we head south west, time permitting we hope to enjoy a break in Street shopping outlet village.

Tuesday Day 2

Today we make our way to Dunster with winding cobbled streets between higgledy- piggledy thatched cottages, cute shops, tea rooms, cafes and galleries. We then travel to Watchet a charming little coastal town with an active harbour.

Wednesday Day 3

We travel to the twin towns of Lynton & Lynmouth. Lynton is 500 ft above Lynmouth and

the two towns are connected by the Lynton & Lynmouth Cliff Railway. The railway is a 'must see and do' offering wonderful views over the bay. Lynton is an unspoilt village with excellent independent shops.

Lynmouth is at sea level with a small harbour and Rhenish Tower dominating the harbour wall. The High Street is pedestrian-only with some fascinating shops to enjoy.

The Exmoor National Park Visitor Centre is next to the cliff railway and has lots of information on Exmoor.

Thursday Day 4 Enjoy a ride on the West Somerset Railway. On the return to Minehead the rest

Join us for a new tour based in the popular seaside resort of Minehead on the edge of Exmoor National Park. We include visits to the twin towns of Lynton / Lynmouth, Dunster and the harbour town of Watchet, as well as a ride on the West Somerset Railway with free time to enjoy Minehead.

After our early morning door to door service we head to Dover where we board the P & O ferry to Calais. We then make our way through Belgium to Holland for our 3 nights stay in Utrecht.

Saturday Day 2

Today the highlight of our tour as we spend the day at Floriade Exhibition.

Sunday Day 3

We travel to Amsterdam today. Amsterdam is the Netherland's largest city and no visit to Holland would be complete without a tour to this fascinating place, which can be explored easily on foot or on one of the glass topped boats that cruise along the canals. Discover the perfectly preserved streets and 17th Century houses that are so reminiscent of Holland's Golden Age.

Monday Day 4

After breakfast we travel back to Calais for the return short sea crossing to Dover. Ready to meet our door to door service during the evening.

Later, we visit the Bombay Sapphire Gin Distillery for their ‘Self Discovery Experience’. This includes a 15-minute guided tour through the Still House and complimentary drink.

Tuesday Day 3

This morning we head to the town of Lyndhurst, known as the capital of The New Forest.

Later, we travel to the market town of Lymington. Here we have a chance to purchase lunch. In the afternoon we visit Exbury Gardens, a spectacular 200-acre woodland garden famous for the Rothschild collection of rhododendrons,

azaleas and camellias.

Wednesday Day 4 Our day begins with a ride through the South Downs, reaching the market-town of Petersfield where we enjoy a stop in the heart of the National Park. The town has a variety of local shops, as well as a museum. Today is also market day! Afterwards, we head to the coast where the rest of the day is yours in the Maritime City of

Today we visit the famous Beamish North of England Open Air Museum, capturing the spirit of the North East in the 1800’s and 1900’s.

Attractions include restored tram and replica bus rides, authentic town street, colliery village, go down the mine, old fashioned sweet shop, working farm.

Saturday Day 3 Our first visit today is to Locomotion at Shildon.

Locomotion is an outpost of

the National Railway Museum in York and contains locomotives, artefacts and memorabilia.

Next we are on our way to Weardale, in the heart of the Pennines. At Stanhope we take a break before we continue to Alston. In Alston we find England’s highest narrow-gauge railway, the South Tynedale Railway, and we enjoy a trip on the line.

Sunday Day 4

This morning we travel to Gateshead, on the south bank of the Tyne, and walk across the new Millenium

Here we have time for lunch before we enjoy a cruise around the River Exe discovering the history, beauty and wildlife of the river.

Wednesday Day 3 This morning we drive into Newton Abbot where today is market day. Enjoy a browse around the stalls and a look at the town where you can obtain lunch. Leaving Newton Abbot we have a ride to Buckfastleigh. Here we join the South Devon Railway. Originally a Great Western Railway branch line, the line hugs the Dart estuary on the journey to Totnes. On arrival you can stretch your legs before the train returns to Buckfastleigh.

In Buckfastleigh the railway offers an extensive museum, workshops, gifts and book shop and refreshment rooms. Afterwards we make our way back.

Join us for our South Devon Coast Tour where we enjoy a relaxed itinerary visiting the harbour town of Brixham, pretty towns of Totnes and Dartmouth and enjoy free time in our resort of Torquay. We are based at the Headland Hotel in an elevated position on the outskirts of Torquay.

Afterwards, we head to Vindolanda - one of Europe's most important Roman archaeological sites and museum telling the story of Roman history in the area.

Itinerary Thursday Day 1

Travel to Dover for short ferry crossing to France and on to overnight hotel (Novotel Dijon)

Friday Day 2

We continue our journey through the south of France and arrive at Diano Marina late afternoon.

Saturday Day 3

Today is Carnival day as we head for the Nice Carnival, this is the main winter event on the Riviera, offering a programme of unforgettable entertainment. We include seated tickets for the flower parade.

Sunday Day 4

Today we travel to Menton for the Parade of Golden Fruit, floats depicting

everything from horses, dinosaurs, elephants and Buddhas parade down the Promenade du Soleil. Nearly 150 tonnes of fruit are used on the floats and buildings.

Monday Day 5

Today we are joined by our local guide for an adventure to Monte Carlo. Soak up the atmosphere at the home of the rich and famous.

Tuesday Day 6

Enjoy a free day in Diano Marina today, it is just a few minutes walk into town.

Wednesday Day 7 We start our return journey and cross back into France where we once again have dinner waiting for us in the Novotel hotel Dijon.

The Cote d'Azur has staged carnivals each February since the end of the 19th century to encourage visitors to enjoy its mild winter climate. Over the years the small town's Lemon Festival has grown in popularity. More than 300 professionals work on the project and 145 tons of citrus fruits are used to make the amazing sculptures and the spectacular parade of floats.

HOW TO BOOK A HOLIDAY

HOW TO BOOK YOUR HOLIDAY

Once you have selected your holiday, please call our office on 01234 711318 and you will be notified of all available seats.

Once you have chosen your seat, please complete and return the booking form from the centre pages and send it to our office address. We will hold the seats and room provisionally for 7 days.

SEAT ALLOCATION

On occasions it may be necessary to re allocate seats on the tour coach. We will always try to accommodate requests and you will be notified in writing of any changes. Please note single travellers are not guaranteed a seat to themselves.

PAYMENT

Holiday payments can be made by cheque or bank transfer (please call for our bank transfer details). Cheques should be made payable to Drury Holidays LTD.

On receipt of the completed booking form and deposit (please also send any credit note from 2020) we will process the booking and post or email the confirmation back to you, along with any travel insurance documents if chosen. The

confirmation will indicate the balance to pay and the date to send payment by ( 8 weeks before travel ). Please note no reminder will be sent. Please enclose the remittance slip when sending balance cheques or making a bank transfer.

Around a week before travel you will receive your travel pack which should include travel tickets with your pick up time from home highlighted, luggage labels with feeder destination printed (for coach driver use) and printed itinerary booklet.

ELECTRIC SCOOTERS / LUGGAGE

We are unable to accommodate electric scooters within our door to door service. Please note we are only able to accommodate one electric fold up scooter per tour no larger than a medium size suitcase. This must be pre booked and delivered direct to the coach, and an able bodied person must be available to load/unload into the coach lockers for the duration of the holiday. We regret that we are unable to lift awkward items or any luggage item weighing more than 20kg.

Fold up wheelchairs and walkers will be accommodated, please inform us if you wish to bring one in the special requests section of the booking form. 1 medium size suitcase per person will be allowed weighing no more than 20kg. A small rucksack size hand luggage bag may also be taken onboard the coach.

PASSPORTS

You will require a passport with a minimum of 6 months remaining validity for any overseas holiday. Please contact our office if in doubt.
