4. The key to the individual style

Be laconic!

LINE and silhouettes

Your silhouette should always be neat, clearly defined, strict and with pointed edges. The lines must be clean and smooth, straight lines. Elongated draperies. Highly recommended is silhouette with strong, well-marked shoulder line with sharp edges. The silhouette should prevail vertical and diagonal lines.

(7)

Dramatic Classic Lookbook Idlook.net

7 FORM

Your shape is triangular, where the most expressive lines are the line of the shoulders and a narrow hem line. It is typically symmetrical, geometric, angular form or it can be sculpted. The impression of the form: neatly outlined, sustained in a strict, almost masculine style, trim, taut, slightly stocky (at the not too narrow base)

CLOTHING’s lengths

Pay attention to the correct length of various items of clothing for you. It is important to observe, to show your personality best.

"Shield the butt!" – Rule:

(8)

Dramatic Classic Lookbook Idlook.net DETAILS

Decorating should be clear, of strict forms, expressive geometry and sharp edges. Cutouts should be with a clear form.

collars should be either jagged, “chinese” or Ascot with minimalistic frills. Furthermore they should either have a smooth edge, be geometric V-neckline, be asymmetrical angular (one shoulder) or turtleneck.

Details must be sharp: pleating, starched cuffs, serrated or streamlined lapels, double-breasted jackets, contrasting trim, epaulettes, piping or laconic braid. Perfect details that provide a sharp contrast to the color (for example, buttons marked with an eye, contrasting buttons, turn-down lapels and cuffs). The intricate details in a maritime style look amazing when clearly designed and accurate.

Waist stands confidently delineated with a broad or medium width belt with a geometric buckle. Or vice versa deliberately ignored to create the effect of a narrow women's shirts.

5. Color rules

You must use color in large, bold strokes. The use of color should be challenging. Neutral colors are deep and quite a good base, their simplicity is the perfect basis to demonstrate the use of elegant lines. You can use pastel shades, but only when the fabric in itself is very good.

General recommendation: Use colors of varying intensity, aiming to preserve and emphasize the vertical lines of your silhouette. You really stand out when using spectacularly contrasting trim, especially if you're using two colors in your outfit. It is better to use a few of these color accents in different parts of your suit, in order to not disturb the integrity of the silhouette, but rather emphasize it.

as Dramatic, use “more vertical” (if colortype allows), you can do analogues color scheme:

(10)

Dramatic Classic Lookbook Idlook.net

6. Fabrics and prints

Choose high-quality fabrics in moderate density.

Matte fabric form the basis of your wardrobe, but you can use shiny silk, etc. as blouses. Very shiny texture (up to the metal plates and metallic fabrics) are suitable for accent in your evening dress. Velvet for the evening too!

Three-dimensional, hairiness – use moderately. Knitted and crocheted texture is best chosen soft and well-draped (heavy jersey, cashmere, gabardine, etc.).

(11)

Dramatic Classic Lookbook Idlook.net

11 Prints

Geometric patterns should be quite big and bold and with color contrast. Bands, zigzags, oblique lines, asymmetrical shapes are all good.

Dramatic Classic Lookbook Idlook.net

7. The wardrobe’s items

If you create an ensemble of several separate pieces of clothing, you need to plan the best combinations. You always need to think through the image from head to toe, so be careful. But if you collect all the items in a well thought out ensemble, it will look very effectively on you.

Key models:

• Turtleneck

• Boatneck shirt (with ¾ sleeves)

• Straight jeans or trousers. Covering the hills. If cropped pants (trend which more suits to FG than DC – too childish imagination might happened), then not tapered!

• Pencil skirt (sport style – elastic fabrics)

• Chelsea type booties or classic high if calf allows. Sling backs. Pointed toes

• Double breasted jacket Coats and jackets

are the foundation of your wardrobe, and you should make sure to have a suitable model for all occasions, from daytime casual to evening elegant options. Your jackets should be clear and rigorous, well-rounded shoulders. They should be long enough; very short jackets should reach at least the bones of the pelvis and be smooth and fitting. But in general, I recommend a more elongated model. If the jacket does not have a rigid form, it should be very narrow and fall below the pelvic bone. double-breasted jackets would look spectacular on you!

Lay the collar

(13)

Dramatic Classic Lookbook Idlook.net

13 SKIRTS:

It is important your skirts always are flat, without volume elements in the gap from the top of the pelvis to the upper thigh!

As a rule use several clear tucks at the waist in order to lay the skirt on your hips in a good way. Flaps on the pockets, contrasting stitching, belts, and other stricter details are perfect.

Short skirts look great.

Also a straight narrow skirt (pencil) is recommended. Long straight narrow skirt with a slit suits an evening out.

Also recommended are bias cut skirts (which flutters gently) with or without a straight part on the top. For the skirts not to look unbalanced, they must end no higher than mid-calf.

Pleating:

Pleated skirts should be straight in order not to matronize you. The folds and pleating must be sewn into the top of the skirt, in order to not disturb the smooth vertical lines of your silhouette. The folds can be laid over some distance from each other.

(14)

Dramatic Classic Lookbook Idlook.net PANTS:

use simple, strict masculine style, with laid folds. Silhouette must be clean, elegant, moving in appearance.

Blouses:

This is your most difficult item. "The best blouse is a turtleneck!" should be your motto. But if you choose a blouse, then, in order not to look like a teacher, it must be elegant and austere, with sharp edges and sharp silhouette.

Blouses with a bowneck is acceptable if worn with a very strict suit. But if there is no jacket on top of the blouse, it’s better to keep a more dramatic style.

The fabric can be a starch-dense or smooth (mellow cotton), elegantly brilliant (Charmeuse), or gently woven (Challis).

(15)

Dramatic Classic Lookbook Idlook.net

15

SWEATERS: Sweaters should be easy and elegant, fitting made of Jersey. Good if it looks flowing – with elastic knit, or ribbing. They should be slightly elongated, with shoulder pads. For everyday life’s but more sophisticated image, a long cardigan with shoulder pads would be the best. Excellent if with Beads.

Sharp yet not harsh. Less puffy!

(16)

Dramatic Classic Lookbook Idlook.net DRESSES: Dresses should be severe sliding, narrow, with sharp edges, shoulders and sharp details. The combinations of dress and coat, dress and shirt, dress and wallets - great! The waist could be emphasized by a wide belt buckle with geometric form (preferably of color contrasting to the dress and fitting accessory).

Long drapes or plain dresses, tailored with bias cut (as well as with diagonal hem) also look soft and elegant.

Evening dresses:

Symmetrical shape with sharp, geometric details. Angular cuts. Smooth fabric. Beading. Elongated cut (or silhouette with understated extension). Evening suits in men's style. Long dresses with sharp focus on your shoulders, strict cocktail dresses, evening trousers with a jacket.

(18)

8. Accessories.

Angular lines, pointed shape are the most preferred. What is important is a clean image with minimum of details and accessories. You can use deep colors to give brightness to your image.

FOOTWEAR:

Angular boats in the Italian style; strict narrowed toe. Strong shoes on a flat course. Smooth sandals without ornaments.

Two-color shoes (spectators). Sling backs

(19)

Dramatic Classic Lookbook Idlook.net

19

It is quite natural if you cannot find high boots because the boot’s calves are too narrow.

Your best choice are the shoes as above. Especially if you wear skirts and dresses, if would be best with shoes resembling male shoes.

(20)

Dramatic Classic Lookbook Idlook.net BAGS

Strict laconic bags. Envelopes, clutches, bags with rigid forms. Evening option - clutch of metallic materials. Narrow or medium thickness portfolios with rigid form.

(21)

Dramatic Classic Lookbook Idlook.net

21 Belts:

Width medium to wide. Belts with big geometric buckles. Wide belts from the same fabric as the garment. Belts in contrast to the color of clothing (but in harmony with the decorations and hat).

HATS

Hard hats are a must. Sharp edges and use of contrasting finish. Size of headgear - from medium to small. Geometric, clean, concise form.

(22)

Dramatic Classic Lookbook Idlook.net

Stockings:

Silky translucent stockings fits the best. Use the tone matching to your shoes and the hem to keep the dominant vertical line in your silhouette. If you are building an ensemble on contrasts, the color of your stockings (tights) can be contrasted with either shoes or skirt. In this case, make sure that the contrasting color is found in other parts of the outfit and makes the silhouette fragmented. Stockings with pattern or texture should also be transparent.

(23)

Dramatic Classic Lookbook Idlook.net

23 JEWELRY:

Laconic - the key to the success again. Do not use a lot of bracelets, but one medium-sized is permitted.

Smooth, elegant but somewhat massive decorations. Geometric shapes with sharp edges. Well suited medium or large ornaments in the shape of circles and rings. Mandatory with clear, concise manner. Earrings should be located on the ear and shouldn’t drop or hang. Decoration on the neck should be located near the collarbone, and have a clear, strict form.

Remember: You look most spectacular with but one elegant jewelry.

9. Hair and Makeup

The hair should look sculpted and smooth. I recommend a geometric shaped hairstyle with angular edges. Usually the smooth edge looks better than feathers and multi-layered, although you may have a hair structure that requires multiple layers. The hair should be medium length or shorter. If your hair is very thin, the best would be a smooth short haircut.

Long hair is combed back and given a fixation (hairspray). If you do perm or create waves do it so that these waves are clearly visible and sculptured. Asymmetrical parts such as side or diagonal parting, will look good. You can also comb the hair to one side; it will add elegance. When coloring, give the hair rich, expressive tones without halftones and gray or color completely, or go completely gray for drama.

27 MAKEUP

Your chic polished image is completed by a velvety face with sultry eyes, cheekbones and a bright expressive mouth. Matt colors suit you best; avoid shining during the day; for the evening add only a hint of shine. Sculpted curves is best to emphasize with contrast and circled contour. The general idea of the makeup is to emphasize the sculptural entity. Colors should be deep and rich (rather dark, but not quite black). Smoky effect is most preferred, so it is best to use matte products. Smoky eyes with a fairly dark exterior color. Liner or eyeliner should also be of a deep color that strongly emphasize the eyes. Then shade a bit. Blush should emphasize perfectly sculpted cheekbones corners and not hide them;

best to use color of medium intensity. The most important of the make-up are the lips – they need to balance expressive eyes and cheekbones, so the contour must be clean and crisp, and the colors - medium intensity.

You might own a very short lashes, so extension and curl these might work opposite and not to benefit you. Use that as your feature

The Dramatic’s eyes are long and narrow, so if you do 60s make-up,…: use a white pencil to make a thin line between the lashes and eyeliner’ line. Slightly spread the eyeliner’s line. Eyeliner’ line must get thicker from the center to the outer eye corner.
