Welcome to EUSurvey - the online survey tool of the European Commission.
EUSurvey is a secured platform for designing and conducting small to large online surveys. The service is multilingual, flexible and widely accessible for consulting stakeholders on a specific issue, conducting satisfaction surveys or collecting event registrations. EUSurvey is also the platform used for public
consultations organised by the European Commission (see Have your say) allowing Europeans to a have their voice in Commission initiatives.
In this tutorial we will present the different possibilities for creating surveys.
In the beginning we will show the most common question elements (single or multiple questions, date questions, free text etc.) in use.

You have seen the most common elements of EUSurvey in use.
You can now choose to see more advanced elements.
3 Advanced Survey Elements
In the advanced section you will first see the use of dependency elements. Afterwards you can see other special elements such as file upload or download, images or even matrix questions with the
interdependency of answers.
Let's start with the dependency questions. You can display and hide questions depending on the answers participants give to either single/multiple choice or matrix questions. Below an example.
What is the best way to contact you?
Email Telephone Other
What's the email address you wrote to today?
Make sure to introduce the text as "[email protected]".
Could you please insert your phone number?
Ex: +352 666666666
What is this other way to contact you?
Please note that there are two logics available: OR and AND. The following example is using the AND logic:
Please select A and B:
Answer A Answer B Answer C
Well done!
As you can see, dependency questions are very useful. In EUSurvey you can combine them with all different elements. Just create the question, then the answer and mark both as dependent using the little arrow flag that will show up once you've hovered over the question in the survey "Editor".
We will show you the following elements in use:

File Download Gallery Confirmation Rating
Regular Expression Likert-scale

You can also make mandatory an element in your survey. This means that survey participants must provide an answer for that question element.
