Energy-production
One hectare crops and beyond crops brings
an unbelievable food and energy yield
-
From one hectare with main crops you can feed 7 persons-
From one hectarebeyond crop you can produce:
- power and heat for one houshold
- produce fuel to drive 22.000 km
(Including a pV and a solarheating system for the household)
Biogas plants brings a short
rotation of money in the region

production by biogas
-
Biogas is beside of store waterpower the only one renewable energy which can be stored-
We need a solution for the first plants which run out of the „Ökostromgesetz“-
We also want to create a solution for electricity production beside of the „Ökostromgesetz“ÎStart a discussion process during our congress „biogas 06 II“ in Linz on November 30 th about
With biogas into the gas grid
-Pilot plant Pucking
- Goal:
- Upgrading from biogas to an equal quality of natural gas
- To feed it into the gas grid
- Start: May 2005 - Durating: 3 Jahre - Partner: -Erdgas oö -Ferngas oö -LK OÖ -Land OÖ.

The first outcomes from the project
-Scheduled use for upgraded biogas
-
Our federal Minister for agriculture andenvironment and the general manager of OMV signed a pact last summer so called „5 Punkte Programm“
- The goal of the pact is the initiation of biogas and natural gas as a new fuel in Austria
- Creating a new gaseous fuel with at least 20 % biogas
- 200 gas stations in Austria up to 2010
- Guaranteed tax deliverance up to 2020
The first outcomes from the project
-Scheduled use for upgraded biogas
-
Together with the natural gas industry we
want to create a new kind of gaseous fuel
„Bio – CNG“
-
Platform „Bio – CNG“
-
A working group with members of gas industry and biogas plant operators-
The goal of the platform is to find solutions for a fast growing market for „Bio – CNG“The first outcomes from the project –
Linz: public traffic with Bio CNG buses
-
Goal:
- Less pollution in the city air
- Less noise from public traffic
- 86 buses up to 2008
- Partner:
Green Biorefinery
JKU Linz – Location Utzenaich
-
Goal:
- Combination EE + production of raw materials for the chemical industry (e.g.:lactic & amino acid)
- Creation of valuable materials for natural substance chemistry
- Job creation
-
Start: beginning 2007
-
Period: 3 years
- Projekt partner:
-

Increasing the fertility of the soil
with biogas manure
-
It is concerned on a single examination in Upper Austria-
Outcomes:- Less density ~ 13 %
- Increasing of the water content ~ 12 %
- Increasing of the maxium water capacity ~ 15 %
- Increasing of the organical substance ~ 13 %
- Increasing of the soil activity
Î This brings advantages in dry regions and by producing food and energy on the same field
