PwC Executive is proud to bring to the market a Certificate
Program on Finance for Executives.
The cFE program is well suited to any executives who wish to refresh their knowledge of finance and accounting for business and to enable executives to understand the use of financial tools for strategic decision making. It is
particularly applicable to participants with a background in creative, scientific or in technical fields.
This fundamentals program attracts a very diverse group of participants ranging from directors, vice presidents,
regional directors, general managers and partners from a wide range of industries. It is pertinent for managers from small and large organizations from all industries.
Understanding the World of Valuation
As organizations and businesses become more global and increasingly diverse, it is essential that managers at all levels have a firm grasp of finance to ensure that they maximize value.
The cFE program is designed to help participants explore the diverse financial challenges facing today’s decision makers. It provides participants with a comprehensive introduction to
accounting and financial analysis. It gives to participants an understanding of the financial consequences of strategic decisions and equip them with tools to integrate the financial approach into their decision making. In summary, participants will learn how financial information can be used for decision making, analysis, and valuation.
In this intense and comprehensive program, participants will progress from the basics of
reading financial statements to much deeper insights such as M&A, risk management and value-based management. By better grasping the language of finance, you will significantly improve your ability to communicate with accounting and financial departments within your
organization, and get an understanding of how they value your ideas and concepts.
The program will enable you to gain cross-functional acumen and industry-specific frameworks for informed decision-making, including how to quantify and demonstrate the ROI of your initiatives.

5 days of teaching, case studies and exercises with faculty, including critical reviews of current business situations with senior advisors and industry experts with a view to applying the lessons learnt in a real-life, value-creating situation in participants’ own companies.
Program Faculty
The core curriculum will be taught by faculty from one of the best, internationally accredited business schools in Europe. Faculty will be complemented by senior advisors from PwC’s Global Advisory Services, as well as senior industry executives. The academic quality brought to the table by the faculty is based on their personal research within the industry. Who Should Attend?
This program is custom-designed for mid- to senior level executives, including general
managers, senior functional line-, product- and project managers from both within and outside finance and corporate customer-relations managers in financial service organizations who require a better understanding of the financial impact of business decisions. We encourage companies to send cross-functional teams of executives from across the value chain to leverage the application and the value of the program.
Learning Approach
The cFE program will facilitate learning in the following domains (the domains are not mutually exclusive):
Active participant interaction
Case-based and experiential learning
Simulation of the theory and concepts taught, reflection and learning, and applying results in real assignments brought to the table by participants
Faculty facilitation of group discussions and exercises on issues that cut across the industry value chain
Development of a real value creation plan of relevance and strategic importance to each participating company
The program requires advance preparation, completion of pre-readings and active participation. Plenary sessions as well as case discussions will address many different aspects of the
organization, including financial performance and corporate strategy.
In order to respect the international mix among the faculty, advisors and the participants, English will be used exclusively as the language of communication for the duration of the program, both for teaching and for group discussions.
Curriculum
Custom-designed for senior managers and executives, this program gives you frameworks for informed decision making. Participants look at the impact of corporate policies and operations on financial performance. Participants learn how to interpret financial information to get to the business reality behind the numbers. They look at how to appraise investment opportunities and gain insight into the financial consequences of their strategic decisions.
Most importantly, participants are introduced to the principles of value-based management, and how to manage resources to create shareholder value including potential value creation.

Requirements for the cFE Certificate
Successful completion of the program entails full attendance and active participation in the program. Participants are asked to bring to the program a real-life dilemma that can be worked on in the evenings after classes. In these ‘integrated learning’ sessions, participants will have the opportunity to discuss their own specific dilemmas with the faculty in confidence. Faculty will make scheduled rounds and will be available for consulting on the first four evenings of the program.
The ideas and concerns brought by each participant will be discussed strictly between the participant, faculty and advisors, and will not be shared or discussed in plenum. Confidentiality of each discussion is strictly respected.
Tuition Fee
€ 7,200 excl. VAT (for single participants)
Fees cover all program material and meals during the program. Travel and lodging expenses are not included. Tuition is charged per a graded scale. Two participants from the same company warrant a 10% reduction in the overall tuition. Three or more participants from the same company will warrant a 15% reduction of the overall tuition.
