Camp Information

Program

Are you hoping to have fun this summer with your friends? Do you like

to participate in fun summer activities? Parents, do you want to send your children

to a place that will strengthen their faith? The summer program through St. John

Paul II Catholic Schools is all these things, and so much more! Come to a camp that

will be a fun getaway for the summer while providing a fun learning opportunity

and a place of prayer. Due to COVID, field trips and pool dates are TBD.

Dates

June 1 – August 13, Week Days

7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Daily

Camp activities run from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

links tab. Hard copies will be available at Holy Spirit, Trinity, Nativity and

Shanley/Sullivan school offices. Registration forms are to be returned to:

Cost Details

Cost for the program will be

$195.00 per week. Parents have the option to

choose the weeks they want. Cost includes

lunch and activity fees.

For planning purposes, we require

a one week notice for any changes

to program attendance.

What to Bring…

(All items need to be clearly labeled with child’s name)

- Water Bottle

- Extra Masks - Sunscreen

- Swimsuit, Life Jacket (if needed), & Towel

- Appropriate clothing for hands on ready fun: t-shirt, shorts, tennis shoes & light jacket

- TBD Fargo Parks Pool Pass or Punch card (Waterslide pools: North, South, Davies) *Sunscreen will not be provided by Summer Adventures

pools. Pool pass and punch card

purchases can be made through

Fargo Parks. Pool passes can be

used unlimited times per season.

Heritage Week, June 1 – 4

Families are a beautiful gift. To start off the summer, we will learn about our family heritage. This is a great opportunity for your children to learn about where their family came from and a little history behind their family.

Nature Week, June 7 – 11

Kids love to explore the world around them! This is a week full of nature themed projects; collecting bugs, going fishing, catching grasshoppers or watching the clouds pass by. We will explore the endless fun the outdoors has to offer.

STEAM Week, June 14 – 18

STEAM- the acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. This is sure to be a great week of learning with all our summer campers. We will do building activities, independent experiments, and learn all at the same time!

Arts Week, June 21 – 25

Children are God’s work of Art. During this week we will be learning how to appreciate God’s beauty around us through different types of art, including music, and theater. Look forward to sharing and performing your own works of art!

Sports/Movement Week, June 28 – July 2

Our bodies are a precious gift, a temple of the Holy Spirit! This week we will learn how to take care of our bodies and improve our health through physical activity, sports, and nutrition. Find which physical activity interests you the most during this fun week of movement!

USA Week, July 6 – 9 (closed July 5th)

During our short week we will be celebrating our wonderful Country! Students will learn about the history of the United States and also get a chance to celebrate the fourth of July with their friends, recognize people who help keep us safe and share 4th of July artwork!

Science Week, July 12 – 16

Who doesn’t love science? During science week we will be conducting experiments and learning about how these experiments work. We help students ask lots of questions and explore on their own with projects during this week!

Service Week, July 19 – 23

How good it is to help others around us! Jesus tells us that when we help others, we help him. This week will bring about different experiences and opportunities to help those in need while giving back to our community while working with our friends.

Space Week, July 26 – 30

God has made such an amazing universe! During space week we will explore what is in outer space, learn about planets and visit the planetarium! This is always a week filled with fun activities and learning!

Career Week, August 2 – 6

God has blessed each of us with different desires, talents and interests. During career week, a variety of vocations and professions will be explored!

Animal Week, August 9 – 13

This week will be filled with fun learning activities about animals through trips to zoos and animal shelters! We will share and learn about our favorite pets and animals!

During this week, teachers and staff will be in the

building preparing for the start of school. Campers will need to pack a lunch and prepare to be

outdoors every afternoon. Please adhere to drop-off and pick-up times and note this week only

Parents are required to sign the waiver below allowing JPII personnel to transport and/or administer medication(s) to their child(ren) during camp hours.

As a parent and/or legal guardian, I remain legally responsible for any personal actions taken by my child. Thank you for considering JPII for your child’s summer camp needs. Attached is a copy of each week’s description to help you plan. We realize you have a lot of options for summer care and appreciate the opportunity to serve your family. If you have any questions, let us know.

$195.00 per week

Billing will be done through your FACTS account. Pre-pay full amount Half due June 3rd, Half due July 6th

3 Monthly Payments – due June 3rd, July 6th, & August 3rd

Please indicate the weeks your child(ren) will be attending and return with the Summer Program Application by May 1st.

To better assist us with planning and staffing and as our Summer Adventures Program grows; please note: Effective May 15, 2021

there will be no refunds for weeks not in attendance. Any additional requests for weeks will be granted based on availability.

No cost differential on partial attendance for weeks selected.
