Pan African Institute for Entrepreneurship and Community Development (Pan African Institute) is Africa’s leading professional organization for entrepreneurs, people who work in the public service, business enterprises, public and private sectors of the economy, community development, and local administrative system.
It is for those who desire to do socially positive work in the context of business and who subscribe to high moral standards. It is our belief that enterprise is not just about making money in spite of mountains of evidence to the contrary. Therefore, Pan African Institute is concerned with the creative possibility of individuals who want to give profitable value to their particular field of endeavour and improve community conditions.
3 The Institute, a Company Limited by Guarantee is an independent membership based organization approved in Nigeria by the Federal Ministry of Education, incorporated by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) RC 1154329 and legally guaranteed by the Federal Ministry of Justice to professionalize entrepreneurial development, community development, management and innovative practices.
We are out to promote opportunities for its members in order to gain expertise to improve their social and economic conditions. As part of its mandates, Pan African Institute also aims to provide entrepreneurs and enterprise researchers in all disciplines with avenues for interaction, education, support and enhanced access to technology, resources, partners and services essential to the creation of successful enterprises. Since entrepreneurs are critical drivers of job creation and economic prosperity leading to community development, the organization shall help equip them with the creative ideas, skills and spirits needed to start and organize commercial enterprises in all sectors of the society and generate wealth for personal improvement, social innovation and economic growth.
The objectives of this Institute include but not limited to:
1. Promote global best practices in entrepreneurship, management
and development studies.
2. Provide opportunities for our members to gain expertise in
improving their social and economic conditions through research, training and engagement of key actors in the field of entrepreneurship, management and development.
3. Promote career in trades, skill acquisition, income generation,
wealth creation, development education and technology among Africans.
4. Support the development of nationally recognized programmes
emphasizing creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship, and prepare our members to succeed in today's entrepreneurial, information and knowledge economy.
5. Provide entrepreneurs and researchers in all disciplines with
avenues for interaction, education, support and enhanced access to the technology, markets, financial resources, partners and services essential to the creation of new enterprises.
6. Synergize with local industries and corporations in raising the
productivity of the informal sector as well as improving the skills of business owners to make them more effective, active and efficient.
a. Organize Annual Conference and Seminars to build knowledge
and skills across the continent.
b. Establish well-equipped technical training centre that will
become the hub of best practices thereby providing facilities that will ensure opportunities for positive engagement and empowerment of vulnerable groups in the society.
c. Provide small capital for students, graduates and community
groups in supporting innovative and well-established social enterprise ideas.
d. Training and professionalizing entrepreneurship and community
e. Promote entrepreneurial studies in schools and colleges in order
to make our students self-reliant and self-sufficient.
f. Raise the productivity of the informal sector in synergy with local
industries and corporations. JOINING THE INSTITUTE
The Institute hopes to draw its members from multi-sectors using unique points system to access what each applicant has to offer in their various fields, including what they have practically done with social impacts, and achievements over the years. There are six membership grades; a member’s grade depends on training, qualification, working experience and startup project.
LICENTIATE – 100 POINTS
Must garner at least 50 points gained from community service, work experience, course of study and examination approved by the Institute. Applicants must be holders of senior secondary certificate or have 1-2 years experience in doing their own personal business or willing to start new enterprise.
SENIOR LICENTIATE – 150 POINTS
Must garner at least 100 points gained from community service, work experience, course of study and examination approved by the Institute. Applicants must be holders of senior secondary certificate and undergraduates of recognized institutions or have 1-2 years experience in doing their own personal business or willing to start new enterprise.
5 GRADUATE – 200 POINTS
Must garner at least 150 points gained from community service, work experience, course of study and examination approved by the Institute. An applicant must be a fresh graduate or has 1-2 years experience in doing his/her own personal business or ready to start up new enterprise.
ASSOCIATE – 350 POINTS
Must include at least 250 points gained from community service, work experience, course of study and examination approved by the Institute. Applicants must have 2-5 years work experience in chosen field with minimum qualification of NCE, OND, HND, BSc/BA, do own business or be willing to start up new enterprise.
SENIOR ASSOCIATE – 500 POINTS
Must include at least 400 points gained from community service, work experience, course of study and examination approved by the Institute. Applicants must have 6-10 years work experience in chosen field with minimum qualification of HND, BSc/BA, do personal business or willing to start up new enterprise.
FULL MEMBER – 700 POINTS
Must include at least 600 points gained from community service, work experience, course of study and examination approved by the Institute. Applicants must have 12 years work experience in chosen field with minimum qualification of M.Sc., MBA, etc and must be willing to start up new enterprise or own one.
Outstanding professionals who exceed the requirements for Member by a substantial margin, and who have spent a considerable part of their working life in positions of substantial responsibility, may be considered by the governing council for promotion to the Institute’s most senior grade. Such individuals must be ready to render moral/financial support to the Institute.
Organizations that intend to join the Institute will benefit from our partnership scheme. Agreements will be signed with leading institutions and public companies to provide important services on favourable terms.
6 Small companies interested in added prestige that associating with Pan African Institute can bring to them are also encouraged to join. Among other benefits, they shall be allowed to use the Institute’s logo on their business stationery while they will also enjoin the benefit of promoting their businesses through our websites and publications. 8. Opportunity to be awarded certificate for your community
development service (CDS). This opportunity is for present Corp Members and those that have served the nation and the community they posted them to during their National Youth Service. The Institute is interested in community development and will rewards all efforts that facilitate this. As part of the professional membership certificate received, the Institute will also award certificate for your present or past initiative during your service year.
The Institute is pleased to provide confirmation of the grades of its members and letter of recommendation in response to bona-fide enquiries from clients, employers, schools and members of the public. OUR CERTIFIED COURSES

CONTINUING EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT
The Institute recognizes that members need to continually update and expand their skills if they are to keep abreast of the needs of the job market. We are in partnership with leading higher institutions both local and international that offer courses suited to the special needs of our members. We, in conjunction with other institutions or professionals also offer courses which will be scored on the Institute points system, and can contribute towards the totals required for membership or upgrading.
