Phebus on BepiColombo

METIS on Solar Orbiter Proba 3 (ASPIICS)

LUXOR personnel has been participating to the realization of optical and

spectroscopic instrumentation for several space missions.

UVCS on SOHO is still working, after 15 years of uninterrupted activities

The WAC of Rosetta is returning spectacular images of the bodies it encounters

on its way to the 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko comet (2014).

Presently we are working on two instruments for BepiColombo mission to Mercury:

• The Stereo Camera, to realize a 3D reconstruction of the Mercury surface

• Phebus, the FUV-EUV spectrometer to probe the Mercury atmosphere

BepiColombo lunch is foreseen in 2014.

(11)

We are also actively participating to other two ESA recently selected space

missions:

• Solar Orbiter, in which we are participating to the definition of METIS, the Multi

Element Telescope for Imaging and Spectroscopy

• Proba 3, a technological mission of ESA for testing a flight formation
