KPMG has a specialized Bookkeeping Services Department staffed with experienced

personnel who have in-depth knowledge and experience in serving local and

multinational companies of the same size and complexity , this department headed

by Mr. Ehab Akl Senior Partner, who is being supported by Mr. Ahmed Mansour the

senior manager in charge of bookkeeping group. The engagement team will also be

backed up with KPMG worldwide knowledge and experience in the natural

resources sector around the globe. The Bookkeeping Services Department is fully

independent of the Audit Services.

The Bookkeeping Services Department provides advice and assistance on a wide variety of

accounting services including but not limited to the following:

Provide professional assistance

1) Outsourcing Services, provide professional assistance in maintaining accounting records in accordance with the Egyptian Accounting Standards and the company’s’ requirements for the internal reporting purposes. This includes modifying and coding the chart of accounts using an advanced accounting software package and

extracting financial reports in regular basis.

1) Fixed Assets Register, provide professional assistance in preparing an ideal fixed assets register to enable the company’s management to extract various type of reports and maintain an affective control system over its fixed assets in addition to the ability of activating electronic bar code system to help in facilitating the periodical physical count procedures.

2) Secondment of professional accounting staff, Provide professional staff on secondment basis to work under the client full management and responsibility in order to assist the company’s personnel.

3) Recording the Statutory Books, provide professional assistance in maintaining the manual statutory accounting books in Arabic language as required by the relevant and regulations of Egyptian laws.

Outsourcing Scope of Work

1) Design an appropriate chart of accounts considering the client nature and type of business and through that enable the company’s management to extract different type of financial reports satisfying its needs in order to assist in taking management decision in a proper time Also to facilitate extracting all financial reports will be required by the audit team management decision in a proper time. 2) Applying the above chart of accounts after obtaining the approval of the company’s management on the advanced accounting software package in use.

3) Reanalyzing, reclassifying and recoding the approved financial transactions (if needed) according to the chart of accounts and based on the appropriate supporting documents and the authorizations as per delegation of authorities accounts and based on the appropriate supporting documents and the authorizations as per delegation of authorities, recording the approved financial transactions, after investigating any inquiries in relation thereto with the concerned party in the company and in accordance with the Egyptian Accounting Standards and the company’s requirements.

4) Printing journal entry to be attached with the related supporting documents.

5) Allocating common costs at the percentage of allocation provided by the company’s management, to provide the company’s management with a proper analysis of various elements of that costs.p y g p p y

6) Maintaining a register of fixed assets to account for ongoing acquisition and disposal of fixed assets using excel sheet.

7) Recording periodically accruals and provisions based on the information provided by the company’s concerned parties.

8) Preparing Bank accounts’ reconciliations.

9) Preparing trial balance, balance sheet, income statements, and the related disclosures.

Secondment of Professional Accounting Staff

As per our normal practice the seconded professional will be selected carefully in order to meet the client needs and expectations, we always make sure that he/she is competent, duly qualified, efficient and experienced to perform his/her accounting and reporting role in accordance with the Egyptian Accounting Standard and as required by the client rules and regulations.

The seconded staff carry out the accounting tasks that may assign to him and work under the client direct management and supervision.

Statutory books scope of work

1) Tracing the opening balances in manual general journal book to the final audited financial statements received from The client's management

2) Obtaining monthly approved trial balance from The client's management as extracted from the company’s accounting system and translating the accounts’ titles in the approved trial balance into Arabic language for the purposes of the registration in manual general journal Book.
