Diverticulosis of the colon is an anatomical condition very common in the western world (> 70 % of sixty is affected ) , and is increasing in countries of the developing world. The majority of patients remain asymptomatic throughout their lives , but about 25% of them will encounter symptoms and complications related to the diverticula . This results in extremely high in cost for the National Health System. .
Despite this, diverticular disease of the colon, with all its facets of clinical pathology is still misunderstood and considered very little . However, in recent years there have been major innovations in both pathophysiological and therapeutic sides , innovations that have led to both a better understanding of the causes of the disease that embarking on new therapeutic avenues .
For this reason we organized an international event to better understand of this impor-tant disease . This event, according to the criteria accredited from Continuing medical education (Cme ) of the ministry of Health, will collect opinions of the most important Italian and european experts , and will be open to all healthcare professionals who deal with diverticular disease of the colon.

Nurses and Physicians board certified in General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Geriatry, Family medicine, Internal medicine, Clinical Pathology (clinical and microbiological analysis laboratory), radiology, through the Continuing education Program by the ministry of Health by means of Provider ID 3516 – PLS educational Spa.
In order to obtain the eCm credits it is required to:
• participate to the entire training program (100% attendante will be verified by the attendance register);
• pass the final assessment by completing the questionnaire that will be provided.
