The firm is currently recruiting for a full-time Real Estate Paralegal for our Chicago office. This position supports the Real Estate Practice Group.
Coordinate due diligence for a variety of commercial and residential real estate transactions, including: acquisitions and dispositions and borrowings.
Review and summarize title commitments and surveys.
Work closely with title companies to clear title and obtain title policies. Review and summarize UCC, judgment, tax and other lien searches.
Prepare and file a variety of documents including: deeds, mortgages, memoranda of leases, UCC financing statements, bill of sale, affidavit of title, and transfer declarations.
Obtain permits and other documentation from agencies.
Prepare closing checklist and coordinate the closing process for various transactions including commercial and residential.
Prepare and distribute closing binders.
Other duties as may be assigned to fully meet the requirements of the position.
Bachelors degree or Associates degree and Paralegal certificate.
5 - 7 years of commercial real estate experience, preferably in a law firm setting, an in-house legal department or title company.
Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision.
Effective interpersonal and team working skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with attorneys, professional staff and peers. Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.

As a paralegal in the Human Resources Practice Group of the JPMorgan Chase Legal & Compliance Department, you will be responsible for helping the legal team provide counsel and advice to the firm on employment matters; handle directly and manage outside counsel employment claims at various stages of litigation in various jurisdiction, with an emphasis on document management and discovery , and draft and review human resources policies and agreements and other legal documentation related to human resources and employment. BASIC FUNCTION:
Under supervision, this position is responsible for performing administrative duties to support t HCSC’s Enterprise Litigation Team. The role includes preparing routine documents, agreement pleadings related to litigation and non-litigation matters; assisting with discovery and subpoen productions; and providing overall administrative and legal support to Attorneys and paralega JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1) 2 years of college with 2 years experience as a legal assistant in a law firm, corporate legal department OR 4 years experience as a legal assistant in a law firm or corporate legal departm 2) Experience supporting a litigation attorney/practice, including discovery production PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
