The Application Process.

Firstly, having read this document, if you have any of your queries have not been answered,

please refer to the Business Manager to seek clarification.

Once you have decided that you wish to pursue an application to join, please complete the

Application Form included in this pack and then forward it to the Business Manager for

processing.

Your Proposer and/or Seconder will then be contacted to arrange a meeting with the

Membership Committee to discuss your suitability of joining the Club. (If you do not know

any current members of the West Lancashire Golf Club that could propose and second your

application, this need would not necessarily be a barrier to joining and we encourage you to

still complete the form and pass it on).

Having spoken to your Proposer and/or Seconder, an interview will then be arranged with

yourself to discuss membership and the options available.

Post interview, details of your proposed membership will be posted on our Noticeboard for

fourteen days to allow existing members to see who is applying and have an opportunity to

confirm their suitability, or on very rare occasions, their unsuitability!

When all of the above has been completed, your membership application will then be put to

the Club’s governing body – Council – for acceptance.

Finally, we will provide an invoice detailing the fees required and when payment has been

received, we will arrange a further meeting to issue your ‘Welcome Pack’ which will include;-

- Our welcome letter providing information on the background of the Club, various

housekeeping details, the Club’s current Dress Code etc

- A copy of the Club Rules

- A copy of the Rules of Golf

- Club Fixture List

- Your ‘Bag Tag’ to confirm your membership

- Your Bar Card
