Change Your Banner (INB) Password   

1. Log into Banner.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR E~PRINT USERS: Once you change your Banner password, you will use your new  password to log into e~Print.    IMPORTANT NOTE FOR USERS WHO LOG INTO TEST DATABASES (i.e. TEST or other databases): Your  password has only been changed in the database you were logged into. For example, when logged into  production and changed your password, this only updates your production password; it does not update your  password for any of the other databases. If you use databases other than production and may want to keep  your passwords synchronized, you should log into the different database(s) that you access routinely and  update your password using the steps above. If you decide not to update your password in the test  database(s), it will be updated the next time a clone of production data is copied to that database (this process  DOES NOT happen on a frequent basis).    Reset/Unlock Banner (INB) Account Password    1. Go to the following URL: http://www.ecsu.edu/vikingnet.   2. Log into VikingNet, select Information Technology, and select/fill out the appropriate online form:   o IT User Account Reset Request

Password Requirements for Email/Domain Account    For faculty and staff, users are required to change their email/domain password every 90 days (effective  November 13, 2014). These changes were made to comply with the University Network Security Policy  700.2.2, and will apply consistently to all applications (Banner, SciQuest, etc.) on campus. For students, users  are required to change their domain password every 90 days.    ECSU policy requires an Email/Domain account to include at least 8 characters (i.e. letters, numbers, and a  symbol) from at least 3 of the 4 categories listed below.      Uppercase letter   Lowercase letter    Numbers   Special character (e.g. _ ! @ # * ?)    The sample passwords are for instructional purposes only.      Change your Email/Domain Account Password using Microsoft Outlook Web App (Faculty/Staff)    Note for Faculty/Staff only: changing your password using Microsoft Outlook Web App will automatically  change both your email and campus domain password. The two accounts have the same username and  password (changing one password automatically changes the other).    1. Log into your Email Account.    2. Click on the Options button. 

 

3. Select the Change Your Password link.    4. In the Change Password section, type in Current  Password.     5. Type in New Password and Confirm your new 

password (Password is case sensitive).

Change your Domain Account Password (Faculty/Staff & Student)    Note for Faculty/Staff only: changing your password using the Windows feature will automatically change  both your email and campus domain password. The two accounts have the same username and password  (changing one password automatically changes the other).     1. On a campus computer, log into the computer with your domain username  and password.   2. Press CTRL + ALT + DELETE keys.  3. Select the Change a Password link.  4. Type in Old Password.
