It is a flexible cloud offering that delivers the IT resources that you need, when you need them, via our extensive and reliable carrier network.
Are IT issues threatening to overwhelm your business?
Businesses today are relying more and more on IT in various aspects of their operations, ranging from process automation to strategic planning and decision-making. However, managing in-house IT systems can be a huge drain on a company’s resources, with the need to maintain different systems and to constantly upgrade or refresh the technology. There are also high upfront costs associated with new IT infrastructure investments, and the long procurement cycles for on-premise systems often make it difficult for IT to keep up with the changing requirements of today’s fast-paced business environment.
SingTel Managed Cloud Service delivers greater flexibility, security, and convenience in meeting
your IT needs
SingTel Managed Cloud Service is a secure and flexible cloud computing solution that enables your business to harness the power of IT without having to procure, deploy, and manage your own IT systems. It delivers the computing resources that you need, when you need them, without having to worry about IT deployment, configuration or management issues.
Whatever business you are in – whether it is retail, manufacturing, logistics, education, hospitality, healthcare, or any other sector - you can take advantage of IaaS to simplify your IT systems and achieve faster time-to-market while staying focused on your core business.

Key Features
Enterprise-grade security
SingTel Managed Cloud Service incorporates multi-layered enterprise-grade security from the physical infrastructure level to the tenant layer, and offers businesses a well-defined security framework involving people, processes and technology.
Through our partnership with best-of-breed infrastructure solution providers, we provide enterprise-grade firewalls and Intrusion Prevention System (IPS)/Intrusion Detection System (IDS) to deliver a well-protected cloud infrastructure. This is monitored 24/7 by our Security Operation Centre (SOC), giving you greater peace of mind.
At the tenant layer, security is enhanced through the isolation of individual virtual machines (VMs), secure multi-tenancy, resource monitoring and anti-malware to ensure end-to-end security. The VMs can also be managed remotely by system administrators who can log in securely through SSL VPN/IPSec.
Secure, world-class connectivity
Leveraging our market-leading* network infrastructure, you can be assured of optimal efficiency and security when accessing our services. You can select from any of the following connectivity options for superior coverage, network performance, reliability and value:
• Highly-reliable Internet connection (SingNet OnNet) and private network connection based on Multiprotocol Label Switching technology (Meg@POP IPVPN) for added security in Singapore • Internet Protocol Virtual Private Network (IP VPN) for connectivity to more than 80 destinations worldwide (ConnectPlus IP VPN)

A rich set of value-added services
There is a choice of value-added services (VAS) to meet different business IT requirements:
• • •
• •
Firewall: Businesses can control and configure first and second-tier firewalls based on their
infrastructure security requirements. The second-tier virtual firewall creates a separate zone within the cloud to address more stringent security needs.
Security: Anti-malware is installed in the VMs and businesses are kept up-to-date with the latest
patches and anti-virus definitions in order to detect and remove computer viruses, worms, Trojans and other malware.
Monitoring: This enables businesses to monitor the health of their VMs by tracking parameters
such as Internet connection speed, latency, and CPU usage. Alerts are sent if pre-defined thresholds are breached, so that businesses can take action to boost resource capacity and ensure system availability.
Network load balancing: Workloads are distributed across multiple VMs based on utilisation and
availability to optimise resource usage, maximise throughput, minimise response time, and avoid overload of any VM.
SSL VPN/IPsec: This provides authentication and encryption on the Internet connection to ensure
secure end-to-end remote access into the VMs.
With our service schemes, businesses have the flexibility to select an offering that matches their utilisation profile, in order to achieve greater cost efficiency. Businesses can subscribe to the cloud service based on shared or dedicated resource pools.
Shared Pool
Businesses can procure cloud services in the form of VMs, which are self-contained operating environments that behave like separate computers with CPU, memory, and storage. Additional VMs can be provisioned quickly as the business’s computing needs grow.
Dedicated Pool
This option provides businesses with a consolidated resource pool, from which you can carve out VMs of various configurations to run different applications. With a dedicated pool, your business will have greater flexibility in managing IT resources to meet unique computing needs and the resources can be easily scaled as business requirements change.
