Matching Funds for Food Bank Construction ($2500 Donation):

We could use your help at the Humboldt Food Bank for a construction project. Prayerfully consider a donation – and we will match up to $2500!

The Humboldt County Ministerial Association and Associates voted at the last meeting to move forward with bids to consider purchasing the former ‘InDesigns’ consignment shop in downtown Humboldt as new locale for the Food Bank and UDMO. The two different entities exist now in the courthouse and the secondary roads building owned by the county.

The new project seeks to:

1- Provide a one-stop location for services from UDMO and the Humboldt Food Bank. This greatly eases many current logistical problems with the two locations.

2- Increase the number of hours that the food bank is open to serve Humboldt County.

3- Ease access (for those who need food and for those who donate) to the Food Bank and UDMO.

4- Continue to build on a legacy of serving the hungry in Humboldt County and to secure continued community participation in the future.

If you would like to donate, please put it in an envelope marked “Matching Funds for Food Bank” and place it in the offering. Thanks.

Did You Know: Unlike some countries where you must worship behind locked doors, we are fortunate to live in a country where we can openly express our religious beliefs. During your Independence Day celebrations this week, remember to pray for our Iowa senators and representatives that they may have the wisdom and boldness to protect life and our religious freedoms. Happy Independence Day!

Looking for Help with the Media at Zion: We are looking for help with running some of the media at Zion. For funerals, or for the regular worship services we would like to have more people trained in how to operate the sound system of the church. Also, we are looking for a bit of help to operate the camera that provides the Facebook Live streaming. Both take a little bit of training which we are glad to provide. Please contact Pastor Aaron if you are interested. Thanks! 515-890-7558 or pastora@goldfieldaccess.net. CANS for CAMP OKOBOJI – Please take all pop cans and bottles and put them in the container located outside on the east side of the Sunday school wing of the church building. Please completely empty all bottles and cans and please do not put garbage in them. Thank you.

If you have changed your phone number or are now using only a cell number, have a new e-mail address, or have moved and have a new physical address, please contact the church office at zion@goldfieldaccess.net or 332-3279 with your new phone number, e-mail address, and physical address.
