Move-In Day

Wednesday, August 18th

9:00am-4:00pm Freshmen Move-In

Residence Life Services recommends students with the last names A-F arrive between 9am-11am; G-M arrive between 11:30am-1:30pm; N-Z arrive between 2pm-4pm.

Enjoy a meal on us!

New Student Programs will be passing out meal tickets to all students and their guests when they check into their Residence Hall. Guest meal tickets are good for one free meal at Eagle Commons Dining Hall on Wednesday, August 18th. Students who move-in prior to 2:30pm will be provided a lunch and dinner ticket.

Evening Floor Meetings – check with your Community Assistant (CA) for your

meeting time and location

Acclimation day

Thursday, August 19th

7:00am-9:30am Breakfast in Eagle Commons Dining Hall

Followed by Ernie Talks – presentations and activities hosted by faculty and staff on campus to help you feel more acclimated to campus life, meet new people, and answer your questions. Topics include: Faculty Expectations of Students, Personal Safety, Career Development, Trivia, and more! Lunch and free prizes will also be included in these sessions!

9:45am Welcome Week Kick-Off in Marwick-Boyd Auditorium

5:00pm-7:00pm Dinner in Eagle Commons Dining Hall

6:30pm-8:30pm Dodgeball at the Rec Center

8:00pm Music Bingo

Bring your friends and come on out and play some music Bingo in the Gemmell MPR on Thursday, August 19th at 8pm. There will be loud tunes, lots of prizes that you can win, and a lot of fun!

Convocation is a time to celebrate your new beginning and continuing your educational career at Clarion University. Our faculty and staff are here to help you succeed and support you. Join our President, University Administrators, your peers, and others as we officially welcome you to Clarion University. No dress code is enforced, but business casual is preferred.

Tours for students living in Campus View & Valley View

2:00pm Spirit Rally & Back to School Bash at Memorial Stadium

Come to the biggest event before school starts! The Spirit Rally features

University sports teams, dance teams, cheerleading and the band by

introducing themselves to you and getting you into the school spirit.

Afterwards is our Back to School Bash that includes:

• popcorn and nacho bar

• cornhole tournament

• free t-shirts

• mini golf, and more!

Welcome Week Staff will be meeting students at 1:30pm at the Bell Tower to walk them over to the Stadium.
