Who qualifies for a Diamond Naira VISA Debit Card?

Existing customers of Diamond Bank with functional Savings or Current accounts will get the card on request and with the completion of an application form.

All new customers who open a savings or current account with Diamond Bank with a completed debit card application form.

How do I get a Debit Card?

It is as simple as walking into any Diamond Bank branch nearest to you to request for your Diamond Naira Visa Debit Card. All existing Savings and Current account holders will be issued with the card upon completing the Debit Card application form, while new

customers will need to open a Savings or Current and complete a Debit Card form, Card will be ready within 3-5 business days. The Debit Card application form can be

How does my Debit Card work?

The Diamond Naira Visa Debit Card does not offer a credit line to the cardholder, it is a debit card that is linked to your Saving or Current account and can only permit

transactions based on the available funds in your account. All transactions are online real time; so you will receive transaction notifications for every purchase and withdrawal made with the card.

FAQs

Does my card require activation before use and what is my PIN?

Yes, to use your card you must activate it by changing the default PIN to your transaction PIN at any Diamond Bank ATM nearest to you. Your Debit Card transaction PIN is a 4 digit number that authenticates your transactions by giving you access to your account.

How do I avoid fraudulent transactions on my card?

Your PIN is the signature required for all your card transactions and as such should be kept secret and private; do not share with a third party. Always keep your card safe. Don't allow your card to go out of sight when being used for a transaction at merchant locations.

What happens to my account when my Debit Card is lost or

stolen?

Your money is safe, you are required to report any lost or stolen cards immediately to the nearest Diamond branch or by calling 0700 300 0000. You are also required to call this number if you have any difficulty using your card abroad or locally. This number is written on the reverse side of your card as well as in the welcome letter that come with your card.

Yes. Your Diamond Visa Debit Card can be used for payment at any merchant location or ATM globally irrespective of the currency of denomination. Visa currency conversion system will apply for transaction request involving a different currency denomination.

What is CVC/CVV2 Code?

CVC/CVV2 Code [Card Verification Code] is used for WEB transactions only. It is used to authenticate your transaction. That is the last 3 italic digits of a 7digits number behind your card. For some cards the digits behind are only 3.

Keeping your money safe means keeping your card safe. Treat your card like cash and DO NOT allow your card to be taken out of your sight. Memorize your PIN.

Ensure that the PIN pad is not exposed when entering your PIN.

NEVER share your PIN with ANYONE and that includes the police, EFCC, your bank staff or account officer.

Ensure you do not choose a number that someone else can easily guess or imitate.

Is it safe to shop online with your card?

Yes, it is safe to buy online. Visa offers additional security and protection for cardholders through the EMV Chip and PIN technology. In addition, Verified by Visa (VbV) is a new service that will let you use a personal passcode with your Diamond Bank Naira Visa Debit Card, which gives you added assurance that only you can use your VISA card to make purchases on the internet.

You can use your Diamond Visa Debit Card at Merchant locations anywhere in the world where you see the Visa acceptance sign.

Choose:

Choose your purchase items you would like to buy and take them to the cashier counter.

Insert or Swipe:

When you want to make payment for your purchases, hand the cashier your Diamond Debit Card instead of cash. The cashier will swipe or insert your card on the terminal at the pay point.

Enter Your PIN:

You may be asked to enter your secret PIN. This is the same PIN you changed when you activated or first used your card at Diamond ATM or any one you may have chosen when you changed your PIN.
