In order to publish your app in the Google Play Store, Google requires that our clients have their own Google Play Developer account. In order to sign up for a developer

account, go to this link. This link can also be found in the Implementation Overview

document. Note that a gmail account is required to sign up for a Google Play Developer Account. Once you have a gmail account, you will then do the following:

Sign up for a Google Play Developer Account

• Accept the Developer Distribution Agreement

• Complete your account details

• Once your account is created, grant [email protected] Release Manager

App Icon Splash Screen Header Logo

Submit the following App Media Assets

(12)

These files must be with a 72 DPI resolution, and can be submitted using our Media Assets Template and Guide (ddut.ch/mediaassets). Asset dimensions are width by height, in pixels.

App Icon*

Displays on the mobile device and in Apple’s App Store and the Google Play store.

1024 x 1024 DO design simple icons since the app icon is quite small.

DON’T design with fine details. They may not convert well.

DO leave the corners square (do not round) when creating this icon.

Splash Screen*

Displays upon initial launch of the app for a few seconds (duration is contingent on

connectivity strength and device)

480 x 320 (Android) 640 x 960 (iPhone 4)

1024 x 500 (Google Play Promo Image) 1242 x 2208 (iPhone 6 Plus/6/5)

1536 x 2048 (iPad Portrait)

2048 x 1536 (iPad Landscape)

DON’T put fine details or text in the Splash Screen. They may not be read since the

Slash Screen display time is short.

Header Logo

Displays in the header bar of the app on iOS.

300 x 60 DO put Header Logo on a transparent

background. For best results, logo and text elements in the Header Logo should be

white or light colored, without too much fine detail.

*You do NOT need to resubmit the app icon and splash screen if you are adding a new event to an existing app (unless you want to update all assets of the existing app). We will need a desired header logo for all new events.

*Changes to assets (except for the header logo) will require a resubmission to the app store (+2 weeks for approval) and an additional fee.

(13)
