An application for renewal of a residence permit will be accepted as an extension if the

application is filed before your current permit expires. The renewal can be filed 3 months before the date of expiry.

Applications submitted late for renewals of the residence permit has consequences for your accrued right of permanent residence.

12.AUTHORIZATION

I authorize Immigration and Border Protection Services(IBPS) to obtain all information relevant to the application. Information can be obtained from the Public Prosecution office, Interpol, Tax authorities, SZV, Labor, Civil Registry (CENSUS) Banks and Insurance companies.

I have completed this form truthfully. I am aware that if this statement is not true

this constitutes a criminal offense, which may have residence-law consequences with regard to the residence permits for temporary stay granted.

If you have submitted your application in full at the intake desks of the Admissions Office, your application will be processed. In the absence of documents, you will be given an

"Incomplete form" and six weeks the time to submit all missing documents.

According to the law, the government may in principle take 4 months to make the decision.

Please bear in mind that if you are renewing your permit and this is not done in time (3 months prior) you will incur a gap and this has consequences for your accrued years in order to qualify for permanent. If you are a day late you have incurred a gap.

Also when renewing no authorized persons can pick up your permit on your behalf.
