Welcome to Crazy Good…

…where a kaleidoscope of ingredients come together to craft one-of-a-kind fresh sushi and burger dishes to die for. Then they collide to form a crazy but delicious new food called

“burgushi”. And a lovable, responsive wait staff, original pop art, and larger-than-life fish tanks – with actual cowfish—top it all off to make The Cowfish a crazy good experience.

So declared Marcus Hall when his business partner Alan Springate called him with an idea to create the first ever sushi burger bar. Yes, freshly prepared sushi and burgers under one roof.

But Marcus, given to routine idiocy himself, embraced the idea. Strangely enough, The Cowfish was born.

HOME PAGE: Sushi

Are those chopsticks, or are you just happy to sashimi?

The Cowfish offers an array of fresh, hand-crafted sushi, ranging from the traditional and, in true Cowfish fashion, the not so traditional.

Attack our Angry Lobster, or check out the Tropical Storm Roll, a tempting ménage of sashimi (tuna, salmon and yellowtail) layered atop a cucumber, avocado and kani roll.

We double-burger-patty dare you.

The Cowfish burgers are made from ½ pound of all-natural beef, turkey, lamb, or bison. And all our meats have been raised humanely—never spanked, only put in time-out—and never, ever given antibiotics or hormones.

These aren’t your drive-thru burgers, people. We double-dare you to try the Big Squeal, a half- pound beef burger topped with pulled pork, smoked gouda cheese, onion strings, bacon coleslaw, BBQ sauce, lettuce and pickles on a brioche bun.

Holy cowfish! What a mouthful!

Okay, we agree this is just plain weird…but delicious.

Is it a burger? Is it sushi?

No, it’s Burgushi®, a cutting-edge fusion of sandwiches made with sushi stuff, and sushi crafted with burger stuff. Take the All-American Bacon Double CheeseBurgushi: seasoned all natural beef, yellow and white cheddar cheeses, applewood bacon, and red onion, wrapped in soy paper and potato strings then flash fried. Topped with ketchup, mustard, dill pickle and Roma tomato.

Odd idea. Fab taste.

Did you hear the one about the cow, fish and lamb who walked into a bar?

The Cowfish bar is really no joke. Yeah, it’s fun to sit there, eat your meal and watch the game on TV or get mesmerized by the big-honkin’ aquariums. But the drink menu is serious. Craft beers from local breweries; everything but ordinary cocktails and martinis; affordably delicious wines; premium sakes; spiked, hand-spun milkshakes.

OUR STORY PAGE

So declared Marcus Hall when his business partner Alan Springate called him with an idea to create the first ever sushi burger bar. Yes, never-frozen, hand-prepared sushi and burgers under one roof.

But Marcus, given to routine idiocy himself, embraced the idea. Soon after, these two

knuckleheads had taken the idea and put meat on the bones, so to speak. Strangely enough, The Cowfish was born. And now it can be experienced in Charlotte, Raleigh, Atlanta, Orlando (Universal Studios) and Birmingham.

Upon entering The Cowfish, you are exposed to the technicolor walls, original off-beat artwork, and the exotic fish (including real cowfish) darting around in larger-than-life aquariums. To pique the senses further, expect nostril nudging, taste bud tickling and visually vivid food—the likes of which you’ve never tasted.

And oh, the sounds. Eclectic music (Vanilla Ice and Johnny Cash meet Bruno Mars out on a date with Britney Spears). Exuberant laughter. Animated conversation. Sizzling dishes.

Silverware clanging. Chopsticks chopping. And Gongs. Yes, gongs. That is to say, don’t expect

to blend in if it’s your birthday.

But the best part about The Cowfish? The people. From the kitchen to entrance, we hire people who sparkle. You know the type. They just seem to ooze optimism, and it’s genuine. You’re not exactly sure why, but you kinda’ want to hang out with ‘em. Yeah, we know every restaurant claims to focus on service.

O 100% all-natural (not fake) chicken, Angus ground beef, turkey, lamb, or bison. Raised humanely--never spanked, only put in time-out.

Sushi & Fish

oSustainable, antibiotic-free and non-GMO. ‘Cause that’s just how we roll.

oBigeye tuna is rod & reel caught in the US and Canada. Reely. No foolin’.

In fact, we’ll be delicious! We offer full catering set-ups and party platters to-go, suitable for any event—from small gatherings to jumbo-sized extravaganzas! Choose from a variety of sushi, burgers, salads and sides.

Kindly give us advance notice—our magic wand is in the shop for repairs!
