And it is also on ly natural that our Maker sent alon g His INSTRUCTION MANUAL-revealing for our good what we ARE, WHY we are,where we are going, and what is the way.
That instruction book is the Holy Bible. Yet man has mad e this the most MIsunderstood, misinterpreted and maligned book that ever came into human hands.
Nevertheless,the MISSING DIMENSION IN KNOWLEDGE is all
there revealed. The incredible HUMAN POTENTIAL is there revealed and made plain-if MAN would only read it-and BELIEVE WHAT IT SAYS!
It is our source book. It reveals to us WHY we humans were put here on earth-wHAT we are-WHERE we are going-the unrealized incredible human potential-How to operate this human mechanism of mind and body to live happily in peace and to achieve that awesome potential.
But the greatest human minds have never comprehended that divinely-revealed KNOWLEDGE. It is as if God our Maker had sent his message to us in an unbreakable secret code.
And the greatest human minds have never cracked that secret code. Modern Science cannot understand it.Psycholo- gists do not themselves understand of what the human mind is composed.
Something of supreme importance is MISSING from the greatest of human minds! That something is revealed within this instruction manual. It is NOT taught in any college or university. It is HIDDEN from the worldly wise and prudent.
The greatest mind which ever lived said of it: "I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth because You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes" (Matt.11:25, NKJV).
But to the spiritual babe our instruction manual reveals that originally from eternity, there existed GOD and with Him there coexisted, also from eternity, "THE WORD," a second PERSON who also is God. God created all things by and through this coexisting SPIRIT BEING called "THE WORD" (John 1:1-4).
In Genesis 1:1, the Hebrew word translated "God," is Elohim, a uniplural name meaning ONE GOD who is composed ofmore than one person.In other words, a Divine FAMIL Y, of which the GOD mentioned in John 1:1is HEAD.
God first created angels-also composed of Spirit, though lesser beings than God, and lacking in creative power.
Next, God created-brought into existence-the physi- cal universe, including the earth. At earth's creation, a third of the angels were placed here. They were put under rule of the GOVERNMENT OF GOD, administered by the great archangel

Remem ber, God's PURPOSE in creating man is to repro- duceHimself- with such per fect spi ritualCHARACTERas ONLY GOD possesses-who WILL NOT andtherefore CANNOT everSIN!
(I John 3:9).
Such perfect spirit ua l and holy cha racter can not be crea te d by fiat. Itmust bedevelop ed , and that requiresTIME and EXPERIENCE.
Such cha racte r isthe ability in a singleent ity to come to comprehe nd and distinguish the true values from the false, the righ t way fro m the wrong, to choose the righ t and reject the wrong,and, with power of WILL,toDOthe right and resist theevil.
Animalsare equippe d with BRAINand instinct. But they do not have power to underst and and choose mora l and spirit ual values or to develop per fect spi ritua l CHARACTER.
Animals haveBRAIN ,but noint ellect-instinct,but no ability to develop HOLY and GODLY CHARACTER.
And that pictur es the tra nsce n de nta l DIFFEREN CE between animal BRAIN and human MIND.
But WHATCAUSES that vastdiffer en ce?
The re is virtually nodiffer enceinsha peandconstruction
between animal brain and human brain. The brains of elephants,whales,and dolphinsare larger than human brain, and the ch im p 's brain issligh tl y smaller.
Qualitatively the human brain may be very slightl y su pe r ior, but not en oug h to remotely account for the difference in out p ut .
What,then,can accountfor the vastdiffer enc e? Science cannot adequately answer. Some scient ists, in the field of brain research, conclude tha t , of necessity, ther e has to be some nonphysical component in human brain tha t does not exist in an imal brain. But most scient ists will not ad mit the possibilityof the existenceof thenonphysical.
What other explanation isthere?Actually, outside ofthe very slight degree of physical supe riority of hum an brain, science has NO expl anation, due to unwillingness to conce de even the possibility of the sp ir it ual.
When man refusestoadmiteven the veryexiste nceofhis own Maker,hesh utsoutof hismind vast ocea nsof basic true knowled ge, fact, and UNDERSTANDI NG. When he su bstitutes FABLE for truth, he is,of all men,MOSTIGNORANT,though he professes himselfto be wise.
When man, in the name of scie nc e, den ies- or by in d ifference, ignores-his Maker , he blindshis mind to what he is, why he is, wherehe is going, and what isTHE WAY! No wonder thisworld isfilled withevils! Ther ehastobe a CAUSE forevery effect!
But whenour mindsare ope ned to the knowledge of our GOD and His purposes, then we have glori ou s access to the vast MISSING DIMENSION OF KNOWLEDGE: the very knowledge that God is the Divine FAMILy- tha t God is REPRODUCING HIMSELF- that He isusingMATTERinthe process, and that He opens our under standing to vas t vistasof new knowledge.
So now CONSIDER. God is com posed of SPIRIT. God is CREATOR, DESIGNER, RULER, EDUCATOR. God has SUPREME MIND.He IS thePERFECT HOLY AND RIGHTEOUS CHARACTER!
But He is using material su bs t a nce from th is physical ear t h with which to REPRODUCE HIMSELF. Out of physical EARTH He has formed MAN in His image and liken ess (form an d sha pe) .
But if man is to BECOME God, in the process of God

reproducingHimself,then theCHARACTER that istobebuilt in himMUST ema nate from God- and theSpirit LIFEthat istobe his also must ema nate from GOD.
In ot he r words,God has had to plan to bridge the gap between MATTER (of which MAN is now wholly com posed ) and SPIRIT(which God now is,and man must become).
Matter is NOTSp irit- can not be converted intoSpirit.
HOW, the n, can God cha nge mortal material MAN int o immo rtal,Spirit-co mposed GOD?
Man is composed who lly of MATTER.God says: "And the ETERNAL God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed intohisnostrilsthe breath of life;and man becam ea livin g soul" (Gen. 2:7). MAN was made outof the dust ofthe grou nd . He receives his temporary human life from air, breathed in and out of his nostrils. His life is in the blood (Gen.9:4,6).But the lifeblood is oxidized by breathing air, even as gaso line in the carburetor of an automobile.Therefore breath is the "breat h of life" even as the life is in the blood.
Noti ce ca refully that MAN, made wholl y of matter, BECAME a liv ing sou l as soon as the BREATH gave him his temporaryphysical life.The scripture does NOT say "immor- tal"soul. Man doesnothavean "im mort a l" soul. HeISasoul as soon as physical LIFE ent ers him.
The Hebrew word for "soul" is neph esh. In Genesis 1:20-24, animals are called nephesh three times- onl y the translators translated the Hebrew word there "creat ure."
Animals have thesame temporary physio-chemical existence as man . Both die thesame death (Eccl. 3:19-20).
"T hesoulthatsinneth, itshall die" (E zekiel 18:4).Again, God's Word says: "T he soul that sin net h, it shall die"
(Ezek.18:20). Adam wasasoul, and God said tohim, in regard to the tree of the knowledge ofgood and evil, " .. .in the day that tho u eatest thereof thou shalt sur ely die" (Gen. 2:17).
But Satan denied this,and Adam and Eve believed Satan,as most of humanityhas done eversince.
So let us UNDERSTAND! Man is FLESH and BLOOD- composed wholly of MATTER-and that living matter IS a livin g soul.
The SOUL is composed of physical MATTER,not Spirit . I haveexplained that human brain is almostidentical to
animal brain. But man was made in the form and shape of God, to have a special relationship with God-to have the potential of being born into the FAMILY of God.And God is SPIRIT (John 4:24).To make it possible to bridgethe gap- or to make the transition of MANKIND, composed wholly of MATTER, into SPIRIT beings in God's Kingdom, then to be composed wholly of Spirit, and at the same time to give MAN a MIND like God's-God put a spirit in each human.
In Job 32:8, we read, "There is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding."
This is a great TRUTH,understood by but very few.
I call this spirit the HUMAN spirit, for it isIN each human, even though it is SPIRIT ESSENCE and not matter. It is NOTa spirit person or being. It is not the MAN,but spirit essence IN the man. It is NOT asoul-thephysical human is a soul. The human spirit imparts the power of INTELLECT to the human brain. The human spirit does not supply human LIFE-thehuman LIFE is in the physical BLOOD, oxidized by the BREATH of life.
It is that nonphysical component in the human brain thatdoesnot exist in the brain of animals.Itis the ingredient that makes possible the transition from human to divine, without changing matter into spirit, at the time of resur- rection. That I will explain a little later.
Let me make clear a few essential points about this spirit in man.Itis spirit essence, just as in matter air is essence,and so is water. This human spirit cannot see. The physical BRAIN sees,through the eyes. The human spirit IN a person cannot hear. The brain hears through the ears. This human spirit cannot think.The brain thinks-although the spirit imparts the power to think, whereas brute animal brains withoutsuch spirit cannot, except in the most elementary manner.
A scripture often used by believers in an"immort alsoul"
explains. In I Corinthians 2,the apostle Paul isexplaining to the Corinthians that he did not come to them using hard-to-understand speech as many do to exalt their own vanity. He came to them with plain and simple speech, in humility. And yet none of the princes, the elite, the highly educated-the rulers-of this world could understand.
WHY couldn't the more highly learned understand?

God. This is spiritu al knowled ge. This kind of knowled ge cannot be seen by the physical eye, nor heard with the physical ear. Spirit ual knowledge cannot enter the human mind bynaturalmean s-forsp irit cannot be seen,heard, felt, tastedor smelled.
Then he explains that in this manner (verse 11) no MAN could have the knowledge a man possesses, except by "t he spirit of man which is in him."The brute animal has a brain virt ua lly iden tical to human brain-and some even larger.
But the ir brain s canno t KNow-comprehend-what man knows.Neit he rcould man withoutthespirit of man which is in him. In other words, this spirit imparts the power of intellect to thehuman brain.
Yet this human MIND is limited to knowledge of the physical. It cannot KNow- comprehend-thespiritual things of God. WHY? Because even the human MIND only can know, naturally,what knowledge comes to it through the senses of seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting,feeling. A brute animal also may see, hear , smell, taste or feel what a man does,and still be unabl e to utilize what enters his brain in thought or knowledge. Thereason for thiswill be explained later.
Now thesecond halfof ICorint h ians 2:11:"EVENso" (in likemanner) no man can know-have knowledge of, under- standor comprehend-t he thingsof GOD,except by ANOTHER spirit, theHoly Sp irit of GOD.
Just as no dumb animal can know the things of man's knowledge,neither could man, by brain alone, except bythe spirit ofman-the human spirit -t hat is in man. So also,in thesame manner,even a man ca nnot know-comprehend- the th ings of God, unless or until he receives anoth er spirit- the Holy Spirit of GOD.
Stated still anot her way, all humans have from birth a spirit called "the spirit of man" which is IN THEM. Noti ce carefully that this spirit is NOT the man. It is something IN THE MAN. A man might swallow a small marble. It is then somet hinginthe man,but it isnot the man or any part of him as a man. The man was made of the dust of the ground- mortal. This human spirit is notthesoul. It is somet hing IN thesoul which itself IS the physical MAN.
Not ice,furthe r,verse 14:"Butthe natural man receiveth
not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."
So, from birth, God gives us one spirit, which for lack of a better term I call a human spirit. It gives us MIND power which is not in animal BRAIN. Yet that MIND power is limited to knowledge of the physical universe. WHY? Because knowledge enters the human mind ONLY through the five physical senses.
But notice that God had not completed the creation of MAN at the creation of Adam and Eve. Thephysical creation was completed. They had this "h u ma n " spirit at their creation.
But now must follow the spiritual cre at ion. This required a secondspirit in man-the HOLY SPIRIT of God.
"And the [ETERNAL] God formed man of the dust of the ground ...and planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.And out of the ground made the [ETERNAL] God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight,and good for food; the tree of life also in the midstof the garden,and the tree of knowledge of good and evil" (Gen.
2:7-9).
Actually and literally,Adam, as yet, was "not all there."
The spirit of man wasin him-butnot the Spirit of God. God offered him freely the fruit of the TREE OF LIFE-which symbolized God's HOLY SPIRIT. Taking of the tree of LIFE would have done two things: (1) opened his MIND to comprehend spiritual knowledge, and (2) imparted within him the GIFT of God's Holy Spirit, leading to ETERNAL LIFE.
But,when God explained to him the KINGDOM OF GOD, Adam disbelieved what God said and disobeyed-sINNED. Then what?
"And the [ETERNAL] God said.. . and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat,and live for ever: Therefore the [ETERNAL] God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man: and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way,to keep the way of the tree of life" (Gen.
3:22-24).

Now GRASP THIS, please!
Do not forget God's great PURPOSE! Through human man, composed of material substance, God is reproducing Him- self-addingto His own holy, righteous, sinless GOD FAMILY.
But God is composed of SPIRIT. How does God bridge the gap between mortal physical MAN and immortal SPIRIT-composed God?
Thevery first human had made the wrong choice, and by SIN rejected the GOVERNMENT OF GOD.God then drove him out of the garden of Eden and blocked all possible reentry to the tree of life. But of course God anticipated the probability of this.God's PURPOSE must STAND! But HOW?
It now required the "second Adam"-Jesus Christ. He had offered Himself before the world was. But He was not to come, born human for the purpose of death, for about another 4,000 years..
God had marked out a 7,000-year period-the first 6,000 for mankind,cut off from God (with a few exceptions), to go his own way-to write the lesson in human suffering and anguish of livingcontrary to GOD'S WAY OF LIFE, commanded by THE GOVERNMENT OF GOD-which Adam rejected.
This 6,000 years, with Satan still here, would be followed by a single 1,000 years, during which CHRIST would rule, having qualified to restore THE GOVERNMENT OF GOD on earth.
Satan would be totally restrained during the seventh millen- nium.
During that seventh millennium, the KINGDOM OF GOD - t he RULING FAMILY OF GOD-would be established on earth.
Meanwhile, during the first 6,000years,a FEW would be offered opportunity to enter into thespiritualcreat ion , which begins with the receiving of the SECOND SPIRIT-that is, the gift of the HOLY SPIRIT of God. Outside of this comparative few, God adopted a "hands-off" policy toward the human race. Abel, Adam's second son, apparently followed God's way, for Christ called him "righteous Abel." Enoch "walked with God." Noah found favor with God-butapparently that was all during the first 1,900 years or so.
After the Flood, Abraham, Isaac, Israel, and Joseph lived God's way. Then God called and formed the nation of Israel,
but they were offered no sp ir it ua l sa lva t ion or ete rnal life-only material and national blessin gs. God called and used a few prophets. Then Chr ist came and mad e sp iritua l sa lva t ion possiblefor all. Yet only the first com parativelyvery sma ll sp ir it ua l harvest has been called to sp irit ua l salvation during the nearly 2,000yea rs since Ch rist.
Human Reproduction the Type of God's Reproducing Himse lf Few people realize that human reproductionhasasacred and GOD-PLANE MEANING NOT APPLICABLE TO ANY OTHER KIND OF LIFE.

Now see the ASTOUNDING COMPARISON!
MAN,rem ember, is composed who lly of MATTER from the grou n d (Gen. 2:7 and 3:19).ButHOW can God bridge thega p, in rep rod ucing Himself, of converting a wholly physical man into a wholly Spirit-composed memberof the GOD FAMILY?
Itstartswith a sp irit (a portion ofsp ir it essen ce)IN the wholly physical man. Remember, this sp ir it is NOT the man-only somet h ing IN the man. Remember,too, thissp irit ca n not see, hear, or think. The MAN sees, hears, and th in ks through his physical brain and the five senses of seeing, hearing, tasting, smelling and feeling. The spir it in man imparts the power of PHYSICAL INTELLECT to the physical brain,thus forming human MIND.
This sp irit acts, amon g ot he r th ings, as a COMPUTER, adding to the brain the psychic and intell ectual power. Knowledgereceived in the brain throughtheeye,ear,and the sens es isimmediately "programmed" into thesp irit com put- er. All memory is stored in th is sp ir it com p u te r. This
"com put er" givesthe braininstantrecall of whatever portion of millions of bits of knowledge may be needed in the reasoning process. That is to say that MEMORY is recorded in the human spirit, whether or not it also is recorded in the
"gray matter" of BRAIN.

SPIRIT-availa ble to Adam. But on Adam's reb elli on and taking the for bidde n fruit , God had driven Adam out and closed all access to the tree of LIFE- symbolic of His Holy Spirit.
Yet through Ch r ist , a repentant humanity may yet receiveGod's GIFT of His Holy Spirit. To Nicodemus Ch r ist said, "Exce ptaman be bornagain ,he ca nnotsee the kingdom of God." Of course Nicod emus cou ld not quite under stand that. Almost nob od y today under stands it. Jesu s expla ine d,
"That which is born of the flesh IS FLESH,and that which is born of the Spir itIS SPIR I T" (Jo hn3:6) . Manca me from the ground. He IS flesh. Jesu s was not talking about another physical birth or experience of conversion in this life-but aboutasp irit ual birth-whenmanshallBE Spirit, no longer composed of matter, but composed wholly of SPIRIT! Yes, LITERALLY! Then heshall have been born of God.God isSpirit (Jo hn 4:24,RSV).
Now to become human, eac h of ushad to be begotten by his human father.Likewise,tobe born again-ofTHE SPIRIT wh ich is of GOD the Father , one must first be begotten of the SPIRITUAL FATHER- of GOD.
This is exp la ined in Romans 8:16- 17: "T he Spirit [of God ) itself beareth witness with our sp irit, that we are the [begotten) ch ild re n of God:and if children,then heirs[notyet inheritors or possessors); heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ. ..."
And God's Holy Spirit, now comb ined with our human spir it in the human MIND, does two things: (1) begets the human with divine eternal life tobe la t er BORN into the GOD FAMILYas aDivin eBein g,the n compose d wholly ofSpiri t; (2) imp ar ts to the human mind power to comp re he nd SPIRITUAL KNOWLEDGE- t o under stand the th ings of God (I Cor. 2:11).
AlsoGod's Holy Spirit impar tsdivine LOVE,FAITH,and POWER to overco me Sata n and sin.
This Sp irit-begot te n Ch rist ia n now has, cond it ionally, the PRESENCE OF ETERNAL LIFE-GOD LIFE-within him (or her ), but He is NOT YET an immortal SPIRIT BEING-not yet compose d wholly ofSPIRIT.

But just as in human reproducti on when the HUMA N charac t er ist ics of form and sha pe and the human bod y and brain grad ua lly begin to form duringtheperi od ofgestat ion, so nowthe RIGHTEOUSand HOLY CHARACTERofGod begin s to take form and GROW.
Actuall y in many , th is Divin e CHARACTER may form so slowly it seems hardlyinevide nce at first,exceptthatin some the re will appear the glo w of that ecstasy of sp iritual
"ro ma nc e"-wh ic h may radia t e in that "first love" of sp ir it ua l convers ion. But, so far as growing in SPIRITUAL KNOWLEDGE (II Pet. 3:18)andsp ir it ua l CHARACTERgoes, most of that is st ill to belearned and develop ed .
When newly convert ed, one is now asp irit ua l"EMBRYO."
Now he must be nourished and fed on SPIRITUALFOOD.Jesus sa id man mustnotliveby bread (p hys ical food ) alone, but by EVERY WORD OF GOD. The BIBLEis the writ t en Word of God, jus tas Chr ist is the per son al Word of God.This growth is the character developmen t that REQ UIRES TIMEand comes largely by EXPERIENCE.Aboveall,it requires continualBIBLESTUDY to sho wONE'S SELFap p rove d of God, as well as much continual an d earnest PRAYER. When you study the Bible, GOD is TALKINGTO YOU. When you PRAY,youareTALKINGTOHIM.You get to really KNOW God in th is manner ,just as you become better acq ua inted with peopl e by conve rsation .

Further,justas the human physical emb ryoandfetusare given physical nourishmen t throu gh the human mother, God's CHURC H is the spirit ua l MOTHER ofits members. God 's Churc h is called "Jerusalem above ,which isthe MOTHERof us all" (Gal. 4:26).
Notice the exact parallel. God has set called and chosen minist er sin His Church tofeed the flock,"for the perfecting of the saints, for THE WORK OF THE MINISTRY [proclaiming Ch rist's gospe l of the Kingd om of God in all the world], for the edify ingofthebod y [Church] of Christ: till we allcome in the unity of the fai th,andofthe knowledgeofthe Son of God , unto a perfe ct man , unto the measure of the st at ur e of the fulness ofChrist" (E p h,4:12-13).
It is the duty of Ch rist's true ministers (and how few toda y) to PROTECT the begotten but yet unborn saints from false doctrines and from false ministers!
What a wonderful picture of God's reproducing Himself is human reproduction!
And remember God intended human reproduction to be aFAMILYmat t er.Itaddshumanchild ren to the human FAMILY.
The HUMAN FAMILY is the exactTYPE of the GOD FAMILY. God has bestowed MARRIAGE and FAMILY life onNO OTHER form of life exce pt on HUMANS, whose potential it is to enter the FAMILYOF GOD! But cons ider furth er!Asthe physicalhuman fetus must growphy si call y large enough to be born, so the begotten Ch ris t ia n must grow sp irit u ally in grace and knowled ge of Ch rist (II Pet. 3:18)-m us t overcome, develop in spirit ua l cha racter, during this life, to be born into the Kingd om of God!
Thatiswellillustrated by the parables of the poundsand the talents. In the parable of the pounds (Lu ke 19:11-27), Jesus pictured Himsel f as a nobleman going to a far country (heaven) toreceive a kingd om and later to return. He called his tenservants and gave each a pound.While He was gone, oneof theten traded with the moneyandgained ten pounds.
He was commended and made ruler over ten cities in the Kingdom of God.Asecond gained only five pounds-he did half as well, starting with EQUAL abilit y. He was given reign over five cit ies.A third gaine d NOTHING-and had even that poun d taken from him.
In the parable of the talents (Matthe w 25:14-30), one was given five talents, another two talen ts, and anothe r one-each according to his own ability (like handicap golf).
On Christ 's return, the one who had been given five talents had gained five mor e (re p resenting sp iritua l growt h and overcoming in this life). He was commende d as a good and faithful servant and given responsibilities accord ingly in God's Kingdom. The one who had gained another two accomplished just as much in proportion to ability. He, too, received an equal reward. But the one who had been given the one did NOTHING WITH IT.In other words,in his Ch rist ian life here and now, he did not overcome, he did not grow spiritually-he developed no cha ract er. The pounds or talents in these two parables represent the initial measure of God's Holy Spirit given at con version. But as the Spirit- begotten per son is continually led by the Holy Spirit- following where God's Spirit opens his understanding, growi ng in spiritual knowled ge and overcoming- the mea- su re of God's Spirit in him increases. But Jesus was filled with the Holy Spirit- not by mea sure (Jo hn 3:34). The parables sho w that the convert whodoes not GROW in Spirit and character development will lose out ! He represen ts one who "RECEIVEDCHRIST" and cons ide re d he was alrea dy "born again " but did not th in k he need ed to overco me, grow spirit ually,or develop spirit ua lcha racter. He thoug ht he was
"already saved ." He sa id he didn' t believe in salvation by
"wor ks."
What he didn't realiz e is that while salvation is a FREE GIFT,we are REWARDED according to our work s (Matt. 16:27).
But by doin g NOTHING, he lost not ONLYthe reward , but he lost out on the free GIFT of etern a l life.
Ch rist's answer to suc h, when He returns with the KINGDOM OF GOD,is, "T hou wicked and slot hfulserva nt. ... Take therefore the talent from him .... And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there sha ll be weeping and gnashing of teeth. " He failed utterly in God's real PURPosE-reproducingin us the holy,righteous CHARAC- TER that we may receive from God.
Manyhave been deceived into a FALSE "salvation."

He must be a DOER of the Word of God. The fetus that fails togrow would die and never be born!
Bridging the Gap
Finally, HOW has God planned to "b ridge the gap" from physical to spirit ual composit ion-to reproduce Himsel f out of PHYSICAL HUMANS THAT COME FROM THE PHYSICAL GROU ND?
First , God put IN thephysical MAN a"h uma n "spir it.Itis NOT, however , the human spir it that makes the decisions, comes to rep entance, or builds the character. As I have emp has ized, thisspirit does not impart life,cannot see, hear, feel or think. It empowers the PHYSICAL MAN, through his BRAIN, to do these things. But this sp irit RECORDS every tho ught-every bit of knowledge received th rough the five senses and it recordswhatever cha racter- good or bad- that is develope d in human life.
The human MANis made lit erally fro m CLAY.God is like the master pot ter forming and sha p ing a vessel ou t of clay.
Butif the clay is too hard,it will not bend int o theformand shape hewan ts. Ifit istoo soft and moist,it lacks firmness to
"STAY PUT" wher e the potter bendsit.
Noti ce in Isaiah 64:8: "But now,0 [ETERNAL], thou art our fat he r; we are theclay,and thou our potter; and weall are the workof thy hand. "
Yet God has given each of us a MIND OF HISOWN. Ifone REFUSES to ackno wledgeGodorGod's ways- refu ses to rep ent of the wrong and turn to the righ t ,God ca n no t takehim and create God lycha racter in him.But thehuman CLAY must be pliable, must yield willingly. If the human stiffens up an d resists,heislikeclaythat is too dryandstiff. The potter ca n do noth ing with it.Itwill notgive and bend.Also, if he is so lacking in will, purpose , and determination that he won't
"stayput" when God molds him partly into what God wants him to be- toowishy-wash y,weak,lackingroot of character, hewill never end ure tothe end . He will loseout.
We are, in tru t h, the WORK OF HIS HANDS. Yet WE
ourselves mustdo our part in this sp irit ua l developmen t.Ifwe lazily neglect Bible st udy and prayer- or if we let other material interests become more important and we NEGLECT such greatsa lvat ion, we lose out.
But if we have thest r engt h of cha rac t er toYIELD, OF OUR OWN WILL to put oursel ves in God 's hands, HE will instill within us HIS SPIRIT and by it HIS righteousness-HIS ch a ra ct er- op en our minds to HIS sp ir it ual knowled ge. We have to WANT IT! We have to WORK AT IT!We have to PUTIT FIRST,above all else .
It must be GOD'S righteousness, for all of OURSis like filthy rags to Him.He cont in ually instillsHisknowled ge,His righteousness, His character within US-IFwediligently seek it and want it. BUT WE HAVE OUR VERY IMPORTANT PART IN IT.
Then all credit goesto GOD.
As we receive the CHARACTER OF GOD throu gh the Holy Spirit of God,moreand more God isREPRODUCINGHIMSELFIN US.
Finally, in the resurrection , we sha ll be as God- in a position where we cannot sin, becausewe ourselve shave set it so andhave turned FROMsin and havest ruggledandstrugg led AGAINST sin and overcomesin.
God'sPURPOSE WILL be accomplished!
WHY Made From Material Substance?
Once again, STOP AND THINK!
WHY did Godch oose to make MANout of physical matter instead of Spirit? He made angels out of Spirit.
Remember God's PURPOSE is to reproduce Himself!His Divinech ild ren areto be begot ten of Himand then BORNinto His God Family. Ch rist, our pioneer, was begotten by the Father in a manner no one elseever was,when conce ived by the Holy Spirit in the virgin Mary.He was the begotten (the ONLY begotten, in that manner) Son of God from human con ception and birth. He is already the FIRSTBORN of man y brethren (Rom. 8:29), born a Son of God by a resurrect ion from thedead (Ro m.1:4),as wemay belater.

Still, as in Hebrews 1,God never said to the m , "You are my own begotten sons ." But whe n we human s receive the Holy Spirit of God, wedobecom eHisbegott en sons and Hisheir s, to receivebyinheritanceHisNAME-just asmybegotten sons inheri t ed my nam e.
When weareBORNof God ,we shall BE Spirit. Then why did God form man in the first place of material substance- outof the eart h?
I have partially answered that question already. Angels, bein g spirit, are immortal. Those who sinned shall go on bearing the ir punishment forever. Their punishment is NOT death. Their punishment is loss of the glorious opportunity God gave them to accomplish His purpose on earth, and to live forever in the resentment, bitterness,attitude of rebel- lion , and ut t er hop elessne ssand frustrationof mind theirown sins brou gh t upon them. Once they perverted their own mind s, they can never regain balance. Happinessand joyhas left the m for ever.
Whereas,ifMAN, compos edof matter , sin ned and refused to rep en t and tu rn from his sin, he will die the second death-he sha ll utterl y PERISH (John 3:16)-he will be as thoug h he had not been (Oba d ia h 16). This reflect s God's MERCY.
ThePhysica lChanges,the Spiritual is Changeless
But there is anothe r all-impor tan t reason. As the humani st philosoph er Elbert Hubbard said, "Nothing ispermanent but change." Matter does not remain as it is, unchanged ,perma- nently.But itcontin ues changing permanently.Perhaps sto ne oriron is asunchan ging asany element. Butafte r a few thousand years, the giant st ones in the wall around Jeru salem , for inst an ce, have lost all their newn ess and show their age.
What ever youseenow on this eart h in time willCHANGE. Spirit however ,is CHANGELESS- exceptasGodinstilledin ange l bein gs the power of mind- of thinking, reasoning,
making decisions and exercising will to act on decisions or choices.But Spirit substance apart from the mind power of God or Spirit beings is CHANGELESS. Once Satan and his demonsmade the decision they did, being spirit, they cannot change!
In reproducing Himself God requires righteous CHARAC- TER DEVELOPMENT. And that requires CHANGE. If God had made us of Spirit, once the decision was made to reject God, we could never have repented-could not change from Satan's WAY to God's! Man, composed of matter,is subject to CHANGE. Man, if called by God, can be made to realize that he has sinned, and he can REPENT-CHANGEfrom his sin-turn to GOD'S WAY. And once his course is changed, with God'shelp he can pursue it. He can GROW in spiritual knowledge,develop character, overcome wrong habits, weaknesses, and faults.
And this is all done by the PHYSICAL MAN, through the PHYSICAL BRAIN.
The human spirit in man empowers the brain with physical intellect, and the Spirit of God united with it empowers the brain with spiritual comprehension , and these spirits RECORD the knowledge and the character and preserve them, as well as the physical shape and appear- ance. These spirits do not develop the righteous character, but through the Holy Spirit God does give us HIS faith, HIS righteousness-as long as we ourselves earnestly desire it.
But once holy and righteous character is developed in physical man, HOW does God bridge the gap, changing MAN into SPIRIT?
The Spirit MOLD
I have shown you that the Scriptures picture man asthe clay -which he literally is-and God as our Potter. We might call God, also,our SCULPTOR, for with our submission and eager willingness, we are the WORK OF HIS HANDS in spiritual and character development. As Job said, "Ifa man die,shall he live again? All the days of my appointed time will I wait till my CHANGE come.Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee [in the resurrection]: thou wilt have a desire tothework of thine hands" (Job 14:14-15).
This brings us to the question of death of the physical

MAN,and the resurrection-Job called it the"CHANGE"- in t o the Kingdom of God.
Nownotice,as quoted before,in Isaiah 64:8: "But now,0 [ETERNAL], thou art our father; we are the clay,and thou our potter ,and we all are the work of thy hand."
God could not form, sha pe, change, and develop His cha racter in us-once we had sinned -as all have-had we been mad e ofSp ir it . Noti cefurther:"Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it,What makest thou?or thy work, He hath nohands?" (Isa. 45:9.)
Another passage of scrip t ure so often misapplied says:
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it [thefaith] isthe gift of God:notof works" (Eph.
2:8-9).
We do not earn salvat ion by good works or gain it by works-i-aur when we receive it as God's GIFT, the degree of reward will be according to our "works" (Matt. 16:27)- perform an cein livingGOD'SwAy-buildingcharact er.
But now read the rest of this passage which is nearly always purposely omitted bythose MIsleading people on this point: "...not of works"... WHY? ..."lest any man should boast. For we are HIS WORKMANSHIP, created in Chr ist Jesus UNTOGOOD WORKS, wh ich God hath before ordaine d that wesho u ld walk in them" (Eph. 2:9- 10).
I have tried topoint out that we must gaincont ac t with God and that HE is the potter-or sculptor-fashioning, moldi ng, and sha ping our lives and righteous character into His CHARACTER IMAGE,AS WE DESIRE AND YIELD.
All righ t.The god lycha racter in us,I havest a t ed,ca nn ot be created by fia t. It must be developed.We must yield. We mustdesireit,seekit.But it comes from GOD.Thus if we keep a close daily contact withour Crea t or, through His Spirit and through our sp irit -for rem ember, His Holy Spirit "beareth witness with our sp ir it, that we are the ch ild ren of God"
(Ro m.8:16)- t he n He is fashioning and shaping our charac- ters. Had God made us of Spirit,thiscould not be done once we had sin ne d.
Now, as Job brought out,we die. Afterlife comes through the resurrect ion. When we die, all consciousness ceases. The physical brain becomes unconsciou sand decays.
With what BODY do we come, in the resurrect ion ? That question is ans wered in ICorin t hia ns 15: "Butsome man will say,How arethe dead raisedup?and with wha t bod ydo they come? ...that which thou sowes t [burial intheground], thou sowest NOT that bod y that shall be, but bare gra in , it may chance of wheat,or of some othe r gra in: but God giveth it a bod y as it hath please d him ..." (I Cor.15:35-38).
Thebod y tha t dies is NOT the same bod y that will come up in the resurrection.
Nowwe come to a MOSTIMPORTANTpart concern ing the SPIRIT INMAN-which I have terme d the "hu man spirit. " It doesnotimparthuman life.Itdoes notsee, hear orthink.The HUMANMANmakeshisdecision s,and it isin the physical MAN that cha racte r must bebuilt . Itis the hum an CLAY that God forms intoHis ch a racte r. The SPIRIT in man RECORDS whatthe brain comes to know , even the attit ude, the facets of CHARACTER, not on lyofthehumanbrain ,but alsoof the whole bod y. It keep s the im p r inteven of the finge rp rints.
Com pa re it to a sculptor'smold. The sculp t or may want to produce a bronze statue of a man.The sculp t or migh t use clay to form a clay mod el- or plaster of paris. Then the sculpto r mak es a MOLD of the mode l he has formed and sha pe d . The mold is a hollow form , mad e fro m the finis hed mod el. Int o the mold is poured molt en liqu id bronze which then solid ifies. Themold is rem oved , and the bronze figureis an EXACT copy of the origi nal model.
The sp irit that is in every hu ma n act s as a MOLD. It PRESERVESthe human 's MEMORY,his CHARACTER, hisFORM AND SHAPE.
Now I do not conce ive, natu rall y, that the spirit is a holl ow for m . But it suppl ies the sa me purpose as the scu lptor's mold. Ifone has received the Holy Spirit, then in the resurrection, God will provide a SPIRITBODY,formed and sha pe d by the Spi rit mold. The resurrected being will be COMPOSED of SPIRIT,not ma tter as the human model was. In the resurrect ed SPIRITfor m he will sud den ly come ALIVE. It will seem like the next flash of a second from his loss of consciousnes at time of death. He will have all his mem or y intact. He will look ashe did in human life in form and sha pe.
Even hisfingerprints will be the sa me.

The CHARACTER which he allowed God to build within him will be the re. Hewill bealiveFOREVER!And,like God the Father, by his own will, he will have been made so that he CANNOT sin (I John 3:9).
The body tha t comes in theresurrecti on is not thesame body that was flesh and blood in this human lifetime. God does not turn flesh and blood matter INTO Spi rit . The flesh andblood physical body, after death ,decomposesand decays, butthe spiritthat wasINthat body,likethesculp to r's mold , preserves all the for m and shape, the memory, and the cha racte r INTACT. And that mold , being sp irit does not cha nge-even tho ugh the resurrecti on may tak e place thou- sands of years after death.
Noticewhat ha pp en sATDEATH.
"T he nsha llthe dustreturn tothe earth asit was:and the spirit sha ll return unt o God who gav e it." Aft er death , whethe r buried in the earth, cre mat ed, or what,the physical body returnsto the earth. But the spirit thatwas IN the man, nowhavingrecord ed every t hing- t he body's form andshape, the facial identity, the mem oryand the cha racter -returns to God.
Itwillbe PRESERVED UNCHANGED.
Such saints as Abraha m, Moses, David and Dani el died thousandsof yearsago. STOPAND THINK ABOUTTHAT!God had to provide somewayto PRESERVE the for m,sha pe, appearance, mind andcha racterof saintsforthousa ndsofyears.Theywere composedof corru pti ble flesh and blood.Allthat was THEM(ma n is composed wholly ofmatter )lon g since decom posed. Yetin the resurrecti on,itwillseem to the m asthe nextfracti on ofasecond since loss of consciousness atdeath.
In the interim of death, they knew absolutely NOTHING.
Says God'sWord,"Fo r thelivin gknow thattheysha ll die:but the dead KNOWNOTANY THI NG" (Eccl.9:5).
Thespiritwhich ret urns to God isthehuman spi ritthat was in the m thro ugho ut life. It was not an "im mo rtalsoul,"
for the soul was mortal and cor ru ptible.
Thosewho died with God's Holy Spirit willbe in thefirst resur rection (Rev.20:4-5).Theywillcome for thIMMORTAL,in a glor ious body ofSPIRITcompos it ion,the ir faces aglowas the SUN.
All others who have not been called to eternalsalvation byGod duringtheir human lifetimes willbe resurrect ed after the tho usa nd-year reign of the Kingd om of Godunder Christ, in the Great White Thron e Judgm en t (Rev. 20:11-12).They will be resurrected MORTAL, once again in a flesh and blood physical body,just as before. In this great judgmen t they will be "called"- their eyes opene d to God's truth.The n, fina lly, ther e will be a last resurrecti on (Rev. 20:13-15) of those who HAD been called by God in the ir mor tal human life, but had reject ed ortu rned from the truth.They,wit hthose who reject it inthe Great Whit e Th ro ne Judgment,will be in the lake of fire (II Pet. 3:10- 11), which is the second death. They then shall be ashes under the soles ofthe feet of the immortalsin God 's Kingd om (Mal. 4:3), and will be as tho ugh they had never been (Obad iah 16).
Then,ahead of themillions of immo rtal red eem ed , sha ll lie the tre mend ous awesome HUMAN POTENTIAL-when God the Creator sha ll have put THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE under our jurisdi cti on (Heb.2:7-8).
