Day 1: Arrival

Day 2: Athens Sightseeing

After breakfast, pickup from the hotel for your half day morning tour. See Syntagma Square, the House of Parliament, the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the Athens Academy, the University, the National Library and the Hadrian’s Arch. Pass by the Temple of Olympian Zeus and visit the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of the modern era were held in 1896. On the Acropolis visit the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally “the harmony between material and spirit”, the Parthenon. Continue and visit the place where at last the statues found their home and admire the wonders of the classical era, the museum of Acropolis. At the end of the tour, drop off at the hotel or at the city Centre. Remainder of the day at own leisure. Overnight in Athens Hotel.

Day 1: Rome

Meet and greet at Rome Airport and transfer to the hotel. Arrival at the hotel and overnight.

Day 2: Rome - Assisi - Siena - Florence

Departing at 7:15am by a deluxe coach, you will arrive in Assisi, where you can explore this tiny town, surrounded by walls built in the middle ages, at your own leisure. Make time to visit the basilica of St. Francis, where you will see masterpieces by Giotto and Ciambue. Board the bus for Siena, a medieval town surrounded by ancient walls that is known for the Palio, an annual summertime horse race around the shell shaped town square, Piazza del Campo. Next, you will continue on to Florence, where you will check in to your hotel before enjoying dinner and a well-earned night of rest.

Day 3: Florence

Buffet breakfast. Guided sightseeing tour of the cradle of the Renaissance. Visit the beautiful Piazza del Duomo, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Giotto’s Bell Tower, the Baptistery of St. John, the Academy of Fine Arts Gallery housing the David by Michelangelo, and Santa Croce, the 13th century Franciscan church with the famous Cimabue’s crucifix. Day 4: Florence - Bologna - Padova - Venice

Depart for Bologna after breakfast in Florence. Wander through the city’s 38 kilometres worth of elegant arcades, for which Bologna is famous.
