DIAGNOSTIC MONITORS

Greyscale and colour diagnostic displays

Resolution of 2 to 15 megapixels with ISD

Five-year diagnostic guarantee

(2)

TOTOKU is a leading

glo-bal manufacturer of

me-dical monitors.

TOTOKU

has been producing

reli-able and innovative

dis-plays and workstations

since 1972.

TOTOKU colour monitors are ultra

bright and rich in contrast.

Color Monitor

Thanks to ISD, TOTOKU greyscale

monitors are able to reach a

resolu-tion of up to 15.7 megapixels.

Grayscale Monitor

TOTOKU diagnostic monitors

are used in a variety of applications. These

include mammography, CT, MRT, PET and

angiography.

TOTOKU DIAGNOSTIC MONITORS – INTELLIGENT, RELIABLE, UNIQUE!

CERTAINTY THROUGH INNOVATION

Continuous further development allows

TOTOKU

to ensure even greater

certainty in primary diagnostics along with technological progress in the

me-dical imaging market.

As well as equipping the diagnostic monitors with innovative technical

fea-tures,

TOTOKU

also provides a diagnostic guarantee for up to fi ve years.

This ensures maximum investment security for diagnostic monitors with

reso-lutions of 2, 3 and 5 megapixels.

THREE SENSORS FOR

STABILITY

All

TOTOKU

i2 models have a

relia-ble stabilisation system: Three sensors

continuously monitor all important

parameters and ensure that image

reproduction is always stable.

Not only is the temperature

measu-red inside the display; the current

brightness of the display is also

mea-sured. The brightness in the room is

also monitored.

The measurements are

monito-red and recorded using the

PM-MEDIVISOR.

This software is

optionally available.

ISD TECHNOLOGY

ISD

(Independent Sub-pixel Drive) technology allows the sub-pixels of

greys-cale displays to be controlled independently of each other. This is a revolution

for diagnostic monitors as it allows the resolution of a display to be tripled. For

example,

ISD

turns a 2 MP display into a 6 MP display.

ISD

provides

substan-tial cost savings while improving quality.

ISD

is optionally available for most

greyscale monitors and can also be activated later.

Stabilisation sensors

also provides a diagnostic guarantee for up to fi ve years.

LED Backlight

The new LED backlight ensures an

even more consistent illumination

of the display surface.

1800 cd/m²

The luminance of up to 1800 cd/

m2 provides suffi cient reserves to

signifi cantly extend the lifetime of

the monitors.

Uniformity

Uniformity Correction ensures

uniform brightness over the entire

display.

Energy saver

New models featuring an LED

backlight reduce power

consump-tion by over 20% while providing

better illumination.

LED BACKLIGHT

The latest generation of

TOTOKU

monitors is equipped with an LED

back-light. The LED backlight ensures a better and more consistent illumination of

the entire display in the CCL 258i2, CCL 358i2, CCL 650i2 and MS55i2 models.

The power consumption of these monitors is also reduced by around 20%

com-pared to models with conventional lighting.

BACKLIGHT WITH

SELF-PROTECTION

The Backlight-Lifetime-Extender is

additio-nal software that extends the lifetime of the

background light. When the display is not in

use, the backlight switches to a particularly

resource-conserving operating mode. In

cont-rast to normal screensavers, the display always

remains ready for use.

COLOUR MONITORS

WITH HIGH

BRIGHTNESS

The new CCL  650i2, CCL  258i2 and CCL  358i2

colour monitors achieve a brightness of up to

950 cd/m2. The devices are precalibrated at the

factory to 410 and 300 cd/m2. Thanks to the high

level of brightness, these models can be used for

Class A diagnostics.

2048 GREYSCALES AT

NO EXTRA COST

A patented technology makes it possible for the

fi rst time to display up to 2048 greyscales (= 11 bits)

simultaneous-ly with

TOTOKU

monitors. Provided that your viewing software

(PACS) supports this technology, you can save the cost of purchasing

expensive graphic cards without compromising on quality.

UNIFORMITY EQUALIZER

The uniformity equalizer ensures excellent brightness distribution over the

en-tire display surface and even eliminates minimal fl uctuations in luminance. In

the case of colour monitors, the uniformity equalizer also provides an even

dis-tribution of colours over the entire screen. Of course, each display is measured

and calibrated at the factory prior to delivery.

A major benefi t of

TOTOKU

monitors is that the user can repeat this

calibra-tion themselves as often as required using the opcalibra-tional CAL012 calibracalibra-tion set.

This guarantees a consistent brightness distribution, even after years of use.

CALIBRATION: SIMPLE AND AUTOMATIC

The many years of experience that

TOTOKU

has in producing monitors for

the medical industry is also refl ected in the company’s

MEDIVISOR NX

calibration software. The software automatically detects the monitor type and

available sensors. No program wizard or manual input is required to perfectly

calibrate a monitor. All it takes is two clicks to perform the calibration and

optimally adjust the monitor.

An icon in the user interface info area indicates the current status of the

monitor in real time. This provides greater diagnostic certainty and consistent

image quality without the user having to think about maintenance intervals.

All values measured during the calibration are represented graphically and

archived.

ACCEPTANCE AND CONSTANCY

TESTING

The German X-Ray Regulation (Röntgenverordnung) requires the users of

diagnostic monitors to carry out regular acceptance and constancy tests in

accordance with DIN V 6868-57. For this purpose, the

QA  MEDIVISOR

works hand in hand with the

MEDIVISOR NX

: The calibration reports are

obtained from here and the required test reports are created in PDF format.

REMOTE CALIBRATION

The optional

PM MEDIVISOR

goes one step further: All

TOTOKU

i2

series monitors located on the

net-work are calibrated and verifi ed

remotely and automatically. This

is carried out completely

autono-mously and is fully time-controlled.

It is no longer necessary to perform

the calibration on site. Measures

that are carried out include:

Central control of all monitor

information

Remote calibration according

TOTOKU monitors feature a

position sensor that

automa-tically identifi es whether the

device is operated in portrait or

landscape format.

Hardware Pivot

INTEGRATED LUT (LOOK-UP TABLE)

Conventional monitors usually work with 8 bits per colour channel and can

therefore only display 256 greyscales.

TOTOKU

, on the other hand, uses special

greyscale displays that can represent up to 3826 diff erent greyscales (= 11.9 bits).

A look-up table (LUT) is used to

ad-apt this incredible range of shades

to human sight. This takes place in

accordance with the

DICOM

stan-dards. The result: An excellent,

ba-lanced and homogenous greyscale

gradient.

HARDWARE PIVOT

FUNCTION

The pivot function of a monitor

al-lows you to rotate the screen by

90° in order to switch from portrait

mode to landscape format. This

ro-tation requires that the respective

screen format on the computer is

converted (for example, from 1920

x 1200 to 1200 x 1920). Many

mo-nitors off er a software solution for this.

However, the solution usually requires a lot of computing power and slows down

the display of images.

In the hardware pivot function featured in

TOTOKU

monitors, the display of

images is equally fast in both modes and responds to changes of mode at

light-ning speed.

DUAL MONITORS

Due to production-related reasons, it is not possible to completely avoid

varia-tions in the colour temperature of diff erent greyscale monitors. As two monitors

are often used side by side in medical imaging, it is particularly important that

screens have identical reproduction values.

TOTOKU

off ers to synchronise monitor pairs before they are delivered. This

re-sults in perfect and symmetrical colour reproduction on both monitors.
