It has experience in the commercial vehicle telematics segment and is available in more than 20 countries. Since its market launch in 2000 FleetBoard has continued to expand and enhance its product and service portfolio. Using GPS the vehicle position can be determined exactly. Data transmission from and to the vehicles is done via GSM/GPRS.

The data is processed in a modern data centre and delivered to Company Owners, Dispatchers and Fleet Managers password protected over the internet. The FleetBoard Performance Analysis grades the driving style and analyses the recorded data for the entire fleet. Since relevant factors such as total distance, over-reving, braking behaviour, stops and average consumption are included in the evaluation this service represents the optimal basis for a fair driver incentive system. Fair also because a reliable driver-specific evaluation is possible by using the FleetBoard DriverCard or DTCO ID. Using objective data, a fuel-saving driving style that reduces wear and tear can be developed together with the driver. Practice shows that it is feasible to cut consumption by 2-5 %in a relatively short time.

Prerequisites for the utilisation of the FleetBoard Vehicle Management services include the retro-fit or factory installation of the on-board computer and the Vehicle Management Service Package. Upon request, the Vehicle Management Service Package can be integrated via the WebServices interface into the transport company’s in-house software so that work can continue with familiar software. Communication in real-time with the vehicles is possible using the in-house application.

FleetBoard Logistics Management: Constant information exchange between vehicle and head office

Logistics planners are informed about the current position and status of the vehicles at all times and can communicate with the drivers in real-time, enter orders, plan trips and send these to the cab with a simple click of the mouse. A standard interface makes trouble-free integration into existing shipping software possible. The drivers receive support as well: orders are sent directly to the FleetBoard DispoPilot in the cab, where delivery and loading addresses can be transferred into the Europe-wide navigation system. At the same time, status reports about the vehicle, trip and order levels enhance the exchange of information between the driver and head office.

FleetBoard Time Management: Regulatory-compliant! With the DEKRA-certified driver cards and mass storage download solutions the driver card data and mass storage unit of the digital tachograph can be read out directly in the vehicle, fulfilling all legal documentation and archiving requirements. The obligatory trip to the head office is eliminated, which is why the solution is ideal for long-distance fleets.
