Anyone get a new Apple "toy" since we last met?
•What's New in the Wonderful World of Apple?
• iPhones SE (name may be change from iPhone 5SE to just iPhone SE):
• Apple is rumored to be putting new life into the older and smaller
iPhone 5
• Expected to be a 4-inch iPhone for those who still prefer a
smaller phone, and keep this entry-level iPhone SE distinct from Apple's larger, more feature prone flagship iPhones
• The upgrades may have some features borrowed from iPhone 6 • Announcement expected on 21 March
• Price unknown
•
iPhones 7:
•
iPhone 7 almost certainly isn't coming until fall
2016
•
Rumors suggest that design will be lighter and
potentially smaller, with less bezel around the
sides and at the top and bottom
•
May include new camera features and stereo
speakers
•
Maybe an iOS update
•
iOS 9.3 isn't a "major" update to iOS, but it does have
a few big features:
•
May include a toggle that changes the display on
your iPhone or iPad to use colors that are easier
on your eyes at night
•
The ability to create notes that can be locked away
by using Touch ID
•
Some improved features to the "Apple News" app
What's New in the Wonderful World of Apple?
•
A smaller iPad Pro:
•
Apple is expected to introduce a new 9.7-inch iPad this
month that it may go under the
iPad Pro
name
•
The new model will have four speakers, stylus support,
additional RAM and a faster processor, and be available in
a 128GB storage capacity
•
The really key difference is that it is reported to have a
connector on its side for attaching a keyboard case,
which is a big part of what lets the iPad Pro transform
into more than a standard iPad
What's New in the Wonderful World of Apple?
•
Apple Watch:!
•
Apple could release a small update to
watchOS, version 2.2
•
It may include a tweaked version of Apple
Maps and the ability to use multiple
Watches with a single iPhone, in case, for
whatever reason, you own more than one
of them.
What's New in the Wonderful World of Apple?
•
Apple Watch:!
•
Based on recent patent applications, the Apple
Watch could have the ability to detect a health
emergency and dial preset phone numbers
•
Apple Watch would detect a change — either in
the user’s body or in the environment around it
— and would then push a signal to your phone
that would tell it to call for help.
•
Apple Watch owners would be able to create
a list of pre-designated contacts that should
be alerted in case of a dire situation.
• Generally speaking, use a soft, lint-free cloth or a microfiber cloth
• Do not use abrasive clothes, towels, or paper towels on the devices
• Keep liquids away from the products and do not spray the cleaner directly onto the product, instead spray it on the cloth
• Do not use aerosol sprays, window cleaners, household cleaners,
cleaners containing hydrogen peroxide, ammonia, compressed air, hair dryers, solvents, or abrasives
How to Keep Your Apple Products Clean
!
!
• iPhone!
• Use a slightly damp microfiber cloth to remove ink, dyes, makeup, dirt, food, oils and lotions on the phone
• To get rid of fingerprints, wipe the front screen with a microfiber cloth
• You do not need to wet the cloth to get rid of fingerprints because of its oleophobic coating, which repels oil
• To clean the Home Button, just wipe it with a microfiber cloth and this will allow Touch ID to work
• If you use a silicone case to protect your iPhone, the inside of the case can be wiped down with a slightly damp microfiber cloth

Keeping your Apple toys clean! (continued)
• iPad!
• To clean iPads, generally follow the same routine as when cleaning an iPhone
• Apple has made a variety of different covers and cases for the iPads over the years
• To clean the polyurethane and silicone cases and Smart Covers, use a slightly damp microfiber cloth to wipe the front and inside of it to
remove any dirt
• To clean leather cases and covers, use warm water and mild hand soap on a clean cloth.
Keeping your Apple toys clean! (continued)
• Macs!
• To clean Macs, first make sure they are turned off and not connected to the power source
• To clean the outside, use a damp microfiber cloth. (There is a tiny black cloth that is included with new Macs inside the box)
• When cleaning the screen, spray the cloth with water and only use water.
• If you spray the screen first as opposed to the cloth, the spray could drip inside the display and cause damage.
Keeping your Apple toys clean! (continued)
• Accessories!
• To clean the Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad, Apple Mouse, Magic
Keyboard, Wireless Keyboard, and Wired Keyboard, first disconnect
them from the computers and remove the batteries (if they have them)
• Use a microfiber cloth that is sprayed with water to clean the outside of them
• To clean the scroll bar on the Apple Mouse, hold it upside down and roll the ball vigorously while cleaning it which will help loosen any
particles that might have got stuck there
• To disinfect them use Lysol Wipes or Clorox Kitchen Disinfecting
Wipes. When doing so, make sure the wipes are not excessively damp and you might need to squeeze the wipe to remove excess dampness.
• Apple Watch!
• To clean the Apple Watch, use a lightly dampened cloth with water to clean the display and sides since it is water-resistant. Then dry it with a dry cloth.
• On occasions the Digital Crown could get stuck and not turn smoothly. If that does happen rinse the Digital Crown with tap water
• Apple expects the Sport and Leather watchbands to deform and become discolored over time, but they are able to be cleaned
• To clean the Sport Bands, Milanese Loop and Link Bracelet wipe down the band with a lightly damp cloth with water and then dry them with a dry cloth
• To clean the leather watch bands use a microfiber cloth. You can use a lightly damp cloth with water, but since they aren’t water-resistant, it
could cause discoloration

Moving an iPhoto Library into Photos App of OS X (continued)!
If you already have a busy Photos library, you’re going to be working with two different image libraries now, which is why it’s generally best to allow Photos app to pull in your iPhoto or Aperture library on first launch.
How to Move an iPhoto Library into Photos for Mac
• If you’d like to merge two different libraries, at the moment, there is no way to directly perform a merging of an iPhoto library with a Photos library
without manually intervening and importing photos on your own.
• You can do that through the File > Import menu item, or by dragging
and dropping images from one library into another using the file system. • Being able to directly merge libraries together would be pretty useful, so
it’s possible that such a feature could be introduced into future versions of Photos for OS X.
• In the meantime, you can always create new libraries and use separate libraries by switching between them by using the Option key on Photos app launch.
