Each year we invite all aspiring

hospitality managers, business

managers, event managers,

tourism managers and executive

chefs to apply for a William Blue

Scholarship. The scholarship is an

opportunity to not only become

accredited in the industry but to

launch a stellar career.

Submissions close Thursday 17 September 2015.

Shortlisted applicants will be notified by Tuesday 22 September and invited to the WB Scholarship Workshop, held from Wednesday 30 September to Thursday 1 October 2015.

2016 SCHOLARSHIPS Sydney:

1 x full scholarship

(covers 100% of tuition fees for the course) 4 x half scholarships

(covers 50% of tuition fees for the course) Brisbane:

1 x full scholarship

(covers 50% of tuition fees for the course) Scholarships available for the following courses:

• Hospitality Management | Diploma of Hospitality, Advanced Diploma of Hospitality (Hotel

Management) or Bachelor of Business (Hospitality Management) *Available in Sydney & Brisbane

Event Management | Advanced Diploma of Hospitality

(Event Management) or Bachelor of Business (Event Management) *Available in Sydney only

• Tourism Management | Bachelor of Business (Tourism Management) *Available in Sydney and Brisbane

Commercial Cookery | Advanced Diploma of

Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) *Available in

Sydney only

ELIGIBILITY

• Recipients must be new William Blue students

commencing studies in February 2016.

• Only open to Australian citizens and permanent

residents.

• Scholarships are only awarded for full time students

studying on campus.

• Recipients must have completed their Higher School Certificate

• An ATAR of 60.0 or equivalent if applying for the Bachelor Degree program

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION SELECTION CRITERIA Scholarship applicants will be shortlisted based on: • Industry passion: Must display a passion for their

chosen industry in the application and through relevant work or volunteer experience. Endorsement from your current employer or hospitality teacher will also be taken into account if applicable.

• Community mindedness & Leadership: Must

demonstrate a willingness to get involved, be proactive and show a personable attitude through a history of volunteer work and formal or informal leadership roles (through school or recreational activities)

• Academic Drive: Must be able to show a dedication

to their studies, and/or passion for studying in order to satisfy that they will persevere with their studies and not withdraw, change course or change education providers.

SHORTLISTED APPLICANTS ONLY Two Day Scholarship workshop

Short listed applicants will be invited to attend the Scholarship Workshop, which runs for two days and includes a supervised overnight hotel stay.

Attendance at the workshop is required to be a scholarship recipient. The Scholarship Workshops will be held in Sydney and Brisbane on Wednesday 30 September to Thursday 1 October 2015.

During the workshop you will need to demonstrate your team work and initiative through your participation in the workshop activities.

Scholarship students

will go on to become the

future ambassadors of

the College, acting as

leaders in and outside of

the classroom.
