Dear Educator:

Your students are invited to Get Building! their future at Michigan’s premiere construction career education event. Register today!

Michigan Construction Career Days (MICCD) will be held on May 5 & 6, 2016 at the

Operating Engineers 324 Training and Education Center in Howell, Michigan. MICCD is designed to show young people the many career opportunities found in all four industry sectors and occupations categories that encompass the construction industry.

With a tested blend of construction education, training and career information booths, hands-on activities and hands-on equipment operation, MICCD provides Michigan’s young people the chance to see, feel and experience construction work up-close using real tools, equipment and materials, while standing side-by-side with actual construction

professionals. We would like to remind you that all students are invited, not just those in tech programs.

MICCD Highlights:

Information Booths: Sponsored by colleges, universities and other industry organizations providing information on various construction careers.

Hands-On Activities: Sponsored by companies and skilled-trades organizations. These activities include, but not limited to; wood cutting and nailing, copper pipe sweating, electrical wire pulling, masonry, heavy equipment repair, wind-turbines

demonstrations, etc.

Large Outdoor Displays: Includes static heavy equipment, construction vehicles, solar arrays, or other types of construction related displays.

Active Heavy Equipment: Pieces of heavy equipment that the young people can actual- ly operate, i.e. backhoes, excavators, wheeled loaders, pavers, rollers, motor graders, hi -lows, aerial lifts.

Send in your completed School Registration Form (enclosed) or pre-register at
