4. FIRST AID MEASURES

Eye Contact : Check for and remove any contact lenses. Immediately flush eyes with running water for at least 15 minutes, keeping eyelids open. Skin contact : Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash skin thoroughly with

soap and water or use recognized skin cleanser. Do not use solvents or thinners.

Ingestion : If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show this container or label. Keep person warm and at rest. Do not induce vomiting.

Inhalation : Remove to fresh air. Keep person warm and at rest. If not breathing, if breathing is irregular or if respiratory arrest occurs, provide artificial respiration or oxygen by trained personnel. Give nothing by mouth. If unconscious, place in recovery position and seek medical advice. 5. Fire Fighting Measures

5.1- Particular method of intervention and Personal protective equipment

Firefighters should always protective equipment and breathing apparatus when handling fire coming from these products.

5.2- Recommendation

Cool closed containers exposed to fire with water. Decomposition product includes carbon monoxide. Fire will produce dense black smoke containing hazardous products of combustion. Keep away from sources of ignition.

5.3- Recommended extinguish media

In big fires, use alcohol-resistant foam for big fires. Keep containers and surroundings cool with water spray.

In small fires, use dry chemical, carbon dioxide, sand and soil. 5.4- Non-recommended extinguish media

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

6.1- General information:

Use the recommended personal protective equipment mentioned in part 8 6.2- Spilling / Spreading

- Avoid contact with skin and hand. Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid breathing vapour or mist.

- Absorb with liquid-binding material (sand, diatomite, acid binders, universal binders, sawdust) and place in chemical waste container.

- Leaking containers put in properly labelled containers.

- Wash contaminated area with water. Collect contaminated firefighting water separately. It must not enter the sewage system.

- Keep away from ignition sources. Take precaution measures against electrostatic discharge.

- Vapours may form explosive mixtures with air.

- In case of small amounts, collect with the use of a binding agent like mica, diatomaceous earth, sand.

- Dispose according to local regulations.

- Inform respective authorities in case of seepage into water course or sewage system.

7. Handling and Storage 7.1- Handling

- Use in well-ventilated area. Do not smoke

- Take precaution measures against electrostatic discharge. Electrical equipment should be protected to the appropriate standard.

- Empty containers may contain hazardous substances. Keep container tightly closed. - Keep away from heat, sparks and flame

- Avoid inhalation of vapour and spray mist.

- Never use pressure to empty. Container is not a pressure vessel. 7.2- Storage

- Containers that have been opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage.

- Observe label precautions. Store in a dry well ventilated place away from sources of heat and direct sunlight

- Store away from incompatible materials.

8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION

Provide adequate ventilation. Where reasonably practicable, this should be achieved by the use of local exhaust ventilation and good general extraction. When workers are facing concentrations above the exposure limit they must use appropriately certified respirators
