This league is set up so that every participant plays an

The league will start August 22 and continue through

Jr. biddY & Jr. girls

This is a developmental league for 8-9 year old boys and 8-10 year old girls. No score is kept because the emphasis

the players to realize that having fun and sportsmanship

are also a big part of the game.

biddY

This league is for boys ages 10-12. Although score and

team standings are kept in this league, there is still much

emphasis on learning. The volunteer coaches do a great

job of teaching basketball as well as mixing in fun and the

importance of sportsmanship. Games are played weekly on Saturday.

Y-girls

This league is for girls ages 11-13. The girls will learn

the fundamentals of basketball and apply those skills in

their weekly games. Scores and team records are kept.

YMCA philosophies are taught as the girls have fun and

enjoy the game of basketball. Games are played weekly on Monday evenings.

SWim ASSeSSment

All children 8th grade (14 years old and under) will

be required to take the swim assessment and will be assigned a green, yellow or red swim band which

must be worn at all times while in the pool. Swim

bands are break-away bands worn around your

child’s neck or wrist. These bands assist our certified

lifeguards in keeping our inexperienced swimmers

safe. All elementary age school children 6th grade

(12 years old and under) must have a parent or guardian (18+) in the pool or on the pool deck/area

with them. If a child does not want to be swim tested they will be considered a rED swimmer and must adhere to the rED swimmer rules. All visiting groups and guests will be swim tested. Please refer to the group policy for supervision requirements.

A swimmer who does not meet age or height

requirements but is a proficient swimmer may be

considered for a yellow or green band on a case

by case basis.

There are lifejackets available. Lifeguards may ask a child to wear a lifejacket for their personal safety.
