Introduction

Onda Development Block with a geographical area of about 502 Sq.Km. and comprising of 15 (fifteen) nos. of Gram Panchayats is the largest Block of the District Bankura. The river Dwarekeshwar runs in the Northern part of the Block. The elective representative of Panchayat Samity & employees of the Block and Panchayat Samity along with the employees of Line Departments are trying hard to improve the overall socio-economic condition of the Block. The District Administration headed by the honorable District Magistrate, Mr. Ghulam Ali Ansari,IAS has given special emphasis to improve the back ward areas of the Block.
