Accenture is helping to build a highly concurrent, distributed, and fault tolerant event-driven solution using lightweight technologies such as Akka (a concurrent non-blocking IO technology) with Play and Grails (both high-productivity web
frameworks). These lightweight technologies have enabled rapid development without sacrificing quality and performance.

Accenture’s Unique Identity Service Platform is based on the concept of
Emergent Identity. Every time an individual interacts with our system (a new biometric sample, or a new piece of biographic or contextual data), we obtain a progressive enriching of knowledge about an
individual’s identity as it evolves over time. A patent submission is in progress for our work in this area.
