The Negligence Panel consists of Solicitors who have confirmed that they will, in appropriate cases, act in proceedings against other solicitors.
The provision of the attached list does not constitute an appointment or recommendation by the Society and enquirers are reminded that instructions are given to, and accepted by panel solicitors on the usual fee paying basis.
In order to avoid incurring unnecessary legal costs, panel solicitors will generally only proceed with a claim if they are of the opinion that there is evidence of negligence, and that proceedings can be brought within the relevant time limits.
The solicitors on the panel reserve the right in all cases to accept or refuse instructions and the Society recommends that solicitors on the panel should not accept instructions to bring proceedings against a local colleague.
