Device Integration with IoT Data Platform
The device communicates using proprietary protocol over TCP sockets. The protocol
contains a header, length, data and checksum.
Authenticity of the device
–
In order for the device to communicate with the data collection platform the device
must be registered on our server. If the device is not registered on the server as soon
as it connects the device shall be disconnected. Exception is reported to the server
team for appropriate action
Integrity of device
–
The device can only send the next packet of data to the data collection platform if the
server responds with a correct acknowledgement. Thus each packet sent from the
server or the device has a password matrix set by us. This password matrix is not
even known to the device supplier. This enables the device to send data to only a
valid server and enables the server to get data from only a valid device.
