A mastery of English is an absolute necessity in today’s business environment. The International Bachelor, a program entirely taught in English prepares its students to think, talk, react and manage in today’s universal language.

Working successfully with other cultures is not simply a question of language, however, but also of cultural sensitivity. Thanks to the International Student body and faculty of the ISG Interna-tional Bachelor program, each student learns to work and work well with other nationalities – just as success is made in the real world. As well as the international immersion, that our students experience in Paris the ISG Bachelor program welcomes over 15 nationalities in its classroom per year.

Significant study abroad experiences provide lasting benefits that shape an individual’s life both personally and professionally. An academic expatriation allows our students to see the world, experience other cultures, improve their language skills and increase self-confidence.

At the ISG International Bachelor Program, we consider acade-mic expatriation as a necessary key to personal and professional growth. Therefore, each student can spend at least one semester abroad in complete immersion at one of the partner universities of the ISG International Bachelor program.

For that semester abroad, students attend the same courses as full time students of this partner university. The goal of such experience is to highly improve student language skills, and gain independence and open-mindedness for a better understanding of the expatriate mechanisms they will confront in their future professional life.

From introductory business and management classes, to spe-cialized classes in vital subjects in International Business, Marketing & Sales, Entrepreneurship and Finance & Economics, our students graduate with an understanding of the structure and issues faced by today’s corporations.

Our students also learn the trends, needs, and desires of tomor-row’s dynamics in supply and demand.

International Bachelor graduates can further pursue their studies at

the Isg International Business school.

Master’s prograM - internationaL track (100% taUght in engLish) :

2 possible options

International Bachelor graduates enter the second year (semester 3) of the Programme Grande Ecole, through the International Track of the Master’s program of ISG.

Entirely taught in English, this is a strong genera-list Master’s program that integrates all the core courses in management and uses professional approaches to apply these key fields while provi-ding students with study abroad experiences. The program requires full-time attendance at ISG Paris during the Semester 3, followed by academic and professional expatriation, as detailed below: - a professional expatriation (Semester 4)

- a study abroad experience and a mandatory Inter-national Export Mission (Semester 5 and 6). To conclude the program, students come back to Paris for a last internship period and to take trans-versal courses (Semester 7).

internationaL MBa (100% taUght in engLish) :

International Bachelor graduates can enter the International MBA program right after the Interna-tional Bachelor program. Choosing to do an MBA suggests that each student is seriously planning his professional life but also seeking to gain a competi-tive edge.

The ISG fully accredited International MBA pro-gram has been conceived for precisely these objectives. It is a one-year full time general MBA and it takes place in Paris with optional seminars in New york during the summer. The education is based on a broad array of disciplines, which will allow students to acquire a comprehensive range of management skills and an in-depth understanding of the global students place’s dynamics. It is taught entirely in English by a team of educators with top international academic and business credentials.

(15)

5 reasons to choose the Isg

International Bachelor program

Based on the Anglo-American model of education, ISG

Interna-tional Bachelor is the only Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program in Paris which combines all of the above: • This 3-year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program is validated by Middlesex University (London)

• This international program is 100% taught in English, including the day-to-day contacts with the International Bachelor adminis-tration

• It offers double diploma agreements with prestigious universities • Various study abroad options, from a semester to a year valida-ted in other university partners

• A real International immersion from the very first day as students come from all around the world, as do the professors (most of them are native English speakers)

• Upon completion of the International Bachelor program, students can further pursue their studies in the master's degree program of the ISG, or its International MBA program.

ISG has established dual degree agreements with international universities. Those agreements allow students to study for one year in United Kingdom during the third year of the International Bachelor program. Students who complete the first two years successfully at ISG in addition to a year or a semester at the uni-versity partner, will be awarded the ISG international Bachelor diploma, along with a BBA Honors degree from the partner uni-versity. Graduate students will receive a separate degree from ISG and from the University partner. Hence, this is not a joint-de-gree program, but rather a double diploma ajoint-de-greement.

A period of immersion in a foreign culture is often a particularly effective way of meeting these objectives

Upon successful completion of the program, students will be able to:

• analyze the accuracy and relevancy of their own worldviews and anticipate how people from other nations may perceive that worldview

• describe and analyze how cultures and societies around the world are formed, are sustained, and evolve

• analyze and evaluate the influence of global issues in their own lives

• describe the values and perspectives of cultures other than their own and discuss how they influence individuals’ percep-tions of global issues and/or events

• communicate competently in a second language (French or Chinese or Spanish)

A large percentage of French and international students wish to study in English while living in Paris:

• students who wish to work in a multinational company after graduating, inside or outside of France

• French and international students who demonstrate a suffi-cient level in English

• students who have spent part of their lives abroad and/or in an English speaking country

Extra-curricular Projects &

School Associations (Electives):

Every year, more than 20 student associations of all kinds contribute to the dynamism of the ISG

student life. It’s a great opportunity for students to communicate and share interests with the ISG

International community.

From an individual point of view, an involvement in student associations clearly reflects the DNA

of ISG International Business School, since it offers various opportunities for developing the skills

on which it is based : Entrepreneurship Spirit, Creativity, Open-mindedness, Responsibility and

Personal Development.

AT THE ISG INTERNATIONAL BACHELOR PROGRAM, THERE ARE TWO ASSOCIATION : MYMARKETING AND STUDENTACT

All through the International program, students are encouraged to initiate, support or participate in different extra-curricular pro-jects. Being a student delegate, an elected Representative or a member of an association helps students to be responsible actors and put into practice what they’ve learned in class. The objective of the International Bachelor Associations is to develop students’ ability to work in a team for the realization of projects consisting of the creation of an association and the promotion of the Interna-tional Bachelor program.

This commitment benefits from an academic framework and the possibility of obtaining ECTS credits.

Students will organize several promotional projects during the academic year, and communication will be external (Fairs, Fo-rums, Online Community Management etc.) as well as internal (inside ISG).

The modules are also designed to develop the student’s ability to critically assess the extent to which concepts and theories learned in classes such as communications or marketing are applicable to successfully promote a product.

STUDENTS MUST TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE PROJECT FROM A TO Z AND WORK WITH A HIGH DEGREE OF AUTONOMY

By the end of this module, students will have gained experience setting up and running an association, promoting a product and problem solving. They will be able to to think critically about the extent to which concepts and theories learned in class are appli-cable and pertinent to the concrete problems they faced. Further-more, they will demonstrate the ability to reflect on the

outcomes of their organizational efforts through a report and oral presentation to a committee.

Testimonials

Emmanuel Bouscasse, how are you involved in ISG's extra-curricular

activities?

My favourite sport has always been rugby. I play for a club here in Paris (the British Rugby Club of Paris) and I've also been playing for the ISG rugby team since joining the school. It has allowed me to partake in rugby at university level, represent my school against other Parisian schools and universities while making new friends from the other programs at ISG. More importantly the students who have been involved in the team for the past two years have been very dedicated to training in order to reach a good level of rugby. This led the team to some fantastic results last year, finishing fifth in Ile-de-France out of ninety teams, but also qualifying for the national student championships for seven-a-side rugby play in Bordeaux last May.

What was and will be your role in ISG Rugby?

Last yearn I was involved in the coaching process, and at times, captain of the team. I am happy to say this year I am President of ISG Rugby. This is a big task, as I to find sponsorship, the training grounds, playing outfits and equipment, but also recruit players, and give the necessary coaching that goes with it. Also, ISG Rugby is one of the most active student associations on the ISG campus. We organize outings, parties and sell self-made calendars to raise money for the team. We are currently sponsored by Andros, Schiever and Vivendi, to name a few. They help us not only financially, but also by creating a bond between the student and the company. We welcome students who have never played rugby before, a sport that bases itself on the values of teamwork, effort and communication. These charac-teristics are not only important on the rugby pitch, but also in one's professional career.

Testimonials

Emmanuel Bouscasse,

BBA Student Representative & President of ISG rugby (2013)

« ISG is a great institution to study international business in Paris. The school offers a great degree in a multi-cultural environment. The many associations offer great opportunities to get involved one way or another in the campus life. Whatever your hobbies are, you will find a group of students who share your interests. Finally, I personally encourage anyone with a social and competitive spirit to join ISG rugby. We have both a men and a women's team, and aim to pursue the school's rugby tradition.»

from South Korea, exchange student of University of Seoul

« I would suggest ISG to students wishing to carry an International Bachelor as it incorporates interactive learning and acquiring a global knowledge. To effectively gain from the experience, you should be open to different cultures and communicate with others. It is only through sharing and interacting that you can obtain an international awareness.»

« Im Kate Hye-ryung Park, from South Korea. In 2012 my university and ISG developped a partnership : I am proud to be the first student to come to ISG from the University of Seoul. At the ISG International Bachelor program, in the classes, there are a lot of foreign students and each of us carries a different culture, and sometimes in discussing issues we heard opinions and stories of our country in a different point of view- which made it really interesting. Also, events and parties are parallel. »

ISG International Bachelor (2013)

« My aim was to study specifically in Paris in an international Business School. The multicultural environment at ISG is indeed one of the greatest assets students can acquire while studying in the program. you’ll have the opportunity to meet students from all over the world, which allows you to discover new cultures and ways of thinking. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to learn new languages and to communicate easily with both regular and exchange students.»

ISG International Bachelor (2013)

«The most important thing I’ve learned OUTSIDE the classroom is MATURITy, the ability to respond to the environ-ment in an appropriate manner which also encompasses the ability to flow along with life’s offering that at the end you’ll get the result of win-win. An example to this is when, ISG offered seminars outside the class like participating OECD seminar or conferences, I learned how to carry myself professionally that led me to exchanging ‘business-calling card’ and creating great contact from other participants- not students. »

« My name is Robin Scott, originally from Boston, MA in the United States. I decided to come to Paris to improve my French after graduating in 2009 from a small boarding school in Brunswick, Canada. I would recommend ISG to any student loo-king to fully immerge himself in international business, not only in the classroom but outside as well: ISG's BBA associations are really well run and everyone is welcomed to participate.»
