WE GOT THIS!
SAFETY MEASURES
THE ADVENTURE
OF A LIFETIME IS
ABOUT TO BEGIN.
This year, Merritt Academy has designed a special 10-week experience to keep our campers safe, engaged and entertained all summer long! For the very first time, fami-lies will have the option to choose between our traditional themed summer camp and a
brand new classroom camp program. As we prepare for the summer, Merritt Acad-emy remains deeply committed to protecting the health and well-being of our entire camp community. Pursuant to CDC guidance, we have enacted sweeping changes this year. In addition to daily health checks, active air fil-tration, routine cleaning and social distanc-ing protocols, we will be introducdistanc-ing longer, 2-week program sessions to limit your child's exposure to other campers. To learn more about our COVID-19 response, please visit www.MerrrittAcademy.org/Coronavirus.
Our summer camp programs operate from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Before-camp care is offered at no extra charge beginning as early as 7:00 AM. After-care is available for $95, between 3:30 and 6:00 PM.
Bus transportation is available for an extra fee for campers living along the bus route. Additional information and forms for busing become available in May.

Campers partake in a variety of fun activities each and every day on campus. Sports are played in our gymnasium and playgrounds, and campers swim in our sparkling outdoor pool under the watch of certified lifeguards. Campers enjoy Tiger Times throughout the week, giving them options to participate in enriching activities such as art, music and computer time.
Special events, scavenger hunts, campus carnivals, moon bounces, talent shows and Friday parties spark joy, curiosity and creativity in children week after week.

SUMMER CAMP
New for 2021, we are proud to introduce a program combining academic enrichment with classic summer fun. Participating campers will attend collaborative lessons on Mondays and Wednesdays, work on grade-specific skills on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and enjoy project-based learning activities on Fridays. After their morning studies, campers will resume an afternoon full of play, laughter and poolside fun.
NEW! CLASSROOM CAMP
The Counselor-in-Training/Junior Counselor Program offers special training opportunities for middle school students. CITs will serve as mentors to younger campers and will have opportunities to plan and participate in service projects throughout the summer. Students completing 10th grade may apply to become junior counselors. They are hired for the full summer, and will work to provide direct support to adult camp counselors. Students may count these programs towards internship or volunteer experience when applying to college, future employment or the National Honor Society. Online applications are due April 1.
