Headed by founder, Mark Verschuur, Fairmont Medical operates a corporate office and extensive warehousing facility in Melbourne, Australia.

It’s reputation for sales excellence has been acquired over an eighteen year period, ever since our Australian-owned company started distributing quality medical products and equipment on behalf of manufacturers all over the world.

Today Fairmont Medical represents a comprehensive yet diverse range of products, among them many well known brands. Furthermore, product is conveniently warehoused, ready to deliver as and when required.

Established over 18 years ago, Fairmont Medical is one of Australia’s leading privately owned manufacturers of single use, sterile plastic based medical devices used for patient care throughout Australia and over 30 countries worldwide. Production occurs in our modern purpose built facility incorporating clean rooms and specialised plastic moulding and extrusion environment.

Continued investment in people, training and technology has enabled us to provide an increasingly wide range of user-friendly, high specification, competitively priced medical devices. At Fairmont Medical we have a team of highly skilled engineers and technicians dedicated to the development of our own high performance manufacturing process.

From a manufacturing perspective the company has invested extensively in specialised equipment to support its capabilities of producting high quality, delivered on time medical devices.

Our facilities

You can be confident that when a device bears the CE Mark it has been evaluated to meet strict safety performance criteria. Our CE Mark was awarded to us by the TGA. Medical device quality is assured by the use of GMP Quality Management Systems which are audited on a regular basis to ISO 9001:2000.

Machinery such as injection moulding, plastic extrusion, ultrasonic welding UV adhesive curing systems, high volume EO gas sterilisation, precision tooling, building and maintenance workshop, high speed assembly conveyor systems, and Class 350 clean room facilities.

Finance Administration

Sound financial administration of Fairmont Medicals needs is of paramount importance. Fiscal responsibility is the corner stone of any successful organisation and we pride ourselves on the approach.

Administration of collections, payments to suppliers, the generation of various financial reports and the monitoring of expenses are carried out by our experienced Finance Team.

Distribution Warehouse

Fairmont’s 35,000²ft facility is situated in Bayswater, 40 kilometres from Melbourne, the capital of the State of Victoria and has a population of 5.5 million. As shown on the map, the location is ideal as a distribution point for mainland Australia, Tasmania and New Zealand with a population of 24 million. We operate with a direct sales force throughout the eastern seaboard with dedicated distributors in Perth and New Zealand.

Fairmont Medical is a ISO 9000:2000 Certified organisation and is well versed with the latest rigorous requirements for product registration with the Australian Government Authority, the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).

In order for medical devices to be marketed in Australia, product classification and strict conformity assessment procedures, such as exists in Europe, must be followed prior to product registration and subsequent product release into the Australian market.

Fairmont Medical has a reputation for manufacturing high quality single use medical devices. All of our team members aim to maintain and enhance this reputation through the continual improvement of all of our activities from product design through to exceeding customers’ expectations. Fairmont Medical has obtained the CE Mark 0805 from the TGA which can be considered a guarantee that all of our products are and will continue to be designed, manufactured and delivered to the highest standards.

Fairmont Medical’s dedication to ensuring continuing of supply is evident by its recent multi-million dollar investment in a State of the Art ETO Sterilisation Plant.
