“A high level market oriented
teaching to confront the trade
retailing changes”
The trade retailing is dealing with a deep and serious transformation caused by changes in consumer values and trends on global markets. At the same time, a considerable amount of facts have contributed to an increasing competition among companies in the retailing sector. Consequently, those companies have a necessity of renewing their processesas well as their management roles. That´s why, in order to survive and grow in such a competitive environment, it is essential for the companies to have well trained people who have the ability to identify clients´ needs and know how to define and develop successful competitive strategies.
“How to confront these
new challenges?”
In the current consumption market, two new competitive models can beidentified: On the one hand, majors in retailing and franchising are leaders in fast moving consumption products. On the other hand, minors in retailing are getting specialized (or at least should be doing it) in market niches.
In order to adapt to the new competitive models, companies need to have people capable of designing high-level competitive strategies, as the change process is causing a serious franchising and retailing power re-equilibrium, which has contributed to a serious development of management techniques and strategies.
THE MASTER IN ADMINISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT OF COMMERCIAL BUSI-NESSESES AND DISTRIBUTION offers an opportunity of helping trade companies in this complicated changing phase, by facilitating the transfer and development of the needed competences to successfully confront the process as well as by intensify-ing a competitive and innovatintensify-ing role of those companies.
