The technical designers are all well known in their respective disciplines not only as designers and specifiers, but also as day to day practitioners within the Music and Events Industry. From the outset the intention has been to use that experience to create a venue that enables even international touring acts to utilise elements of the system in an easy to use and functional manner.

We hope you will enjoy using this equipment…

Staging specification - Stage size & automation

The stage has been designed to provide as many flexible elements as possible within the physical constraints of the building. Effectively divided into six sections, the two outer wings are static at a nominal height of 800mm, while the centre of the stage is divided into four lifts.

The downstage half of the stage is one lift that can be adjusted in height from 700mm through 1200mm, while the upstage half is divided into three lifts that can each be adjusted in height from 700mm to 1400mm. Please see the attached stage layout drawing.

Drapes

The stage has a rear “Austrian Curtain” system that works independently of the rear truss. The curtain is 9m wide and the fabric is Silver “Liquid Lame”.

entrances – referred to as “Half Moon Features”. Dressed in a “Silver Silk Organza” these are also internally backlit to provide a soft glowing effect.

Alternatively, both the stage drape and the two structures can be covered with a black drape.

Console lifts

No one Audio Console satisfies the needs of all users, so for instances where a touring engineer feels unable to use the in house Yamaha PM5D-RH Consoles we have provided a convenient solution - both the FOH and Monitor Consoles are on adjustable lifts.

By lowering the lifts and covering the in house consoles with custom made decks an outside “touring” console can be placed above the in house console in the same mix position. Even consoles with “remote brains” should be able to use the in house line system.

A note on access

Under the Bridge is a small venue with extremely limited access.

Backline cases can be brought into the venue via a passenger elevator, but to do so must be narrower than a standard door width. Where bulkier items must be brought in then these must be carried down stairs.

There are no additional flying points other than those already used or afforded by the in house truss system.

There is no facility to easily route an additional “Multicore” without being visually intrusive.

Technicians/engineers

All systems should ONLY to be operated by suitably qualified engineers aided by house engineers and technicians.

Under the Bridge will provide appropriate technical staffing for all events undertaken in the venue.

Other

Under the Bridge can provide a partition structure across the draught bar nearest to the toilets to reduce capacity. Please contact us for further information.
