Round about is entirely Way too small for truck traffic! And nobody needs Square concrete edges like this has so we can destroy tires, it needs a slant curb if anything and to be enlarged so any vehicle any size can go

No Need for a Light Folks, it needs a Round about and people need to use common sense and it’ll work Beautifully.

And when I say round about, I mean a big one, for trucks and all kinds of vehicles to go in ANY direction along with a slant curb, not a flippin Concrete Square curb sonyou curb and destroy tires. Once again, common sense goes along way, 124/11 round about is TRASH!

I take an alternate route to take my kids to school just so I don't have to cross four lanes of traffic. Trucks always ignoring cars and running the stop signs. I have personally almost been wrecked 3 times by 18 wheelers. One driver ran stop sign then gave me the finger!!!

The worst intersection in Jefferson. Too much volume for how it is designed.

People *absolutely fly* up and down this hill/curve. On this cul de sac alone there are 5 children who live right there. It is a daily struggle to get folks to slow down - the own residents!! Not to mention city school buses. This subdivision *NEEDS* speed bumps. I have put the red signs from the utility department director all over the neighborhood with absolutely no improvements. He said he thought the city would get sued because of undercarriage damage. It’s a lot better to get that - then sued for negligence should something happen to one of our children!!!

This is a blind hill looking south on Storey Ln - and people come too fast going north on Storey. If you are trying to turn left onto Storey Porter, it is always a fear that even though you don’t see anyone, they’ll still be barreling through.

Needs light. People are so frustrated that folks have stopped obeying traffic laws at this intersection, and will pull into trying to turn from left OSP, cutting off those who are already sitting in the intersection trying to turn on to the opposite side of OSP. I've almost been hit twice trying to turn W onto OSP from the roadway by people pulling out from the east from OSP. It's negligent for nothing at all to have been done for this long.

Light is inconsistent, sometimes you sit 5 min with no traffic on Hwy 129 and have to go through a red light instead of waiting all day. Some times it does a quick change, turns red again when the first car is still in the intersection. The alternate route is turning left on to hwy 129 from hwy82 which is not a safe option.

distribution center is 90 degrees and narrow. This is a residential road not intended for heavy traffic, there is no commercial building or dense housing on this road.

Get big trucks (especially 18 wheelers) out of downtown commerce! The on-street parking is a hazard to: -vehicles backing out into traffic when they can't see past the car parked next to them.

-pedestrians, but especially children as there are many family restaurants and shops there. -just driving in the right lane risks clipping / hitting a parked car as you drive by.

Any car going the speed limit, much less an 18 wheeler, would never be able to stop in time to avoid a child darting out or a car backing up. Not to mention speeding is an issue through this area.

We utilize the back of building parking most of the time and are grateful that is available in some areas.

This is the most direct route to 3 schools for most people that live on the east side of hwy 441. I'm not sure why there wasn't a light installed here when the schools were built. It's very difficult and unsafe to cross this intersection, especially during the elementary, middle and high school pickup/ /drop off times.

We now go a longer more inefficient route (come out Berea rd south of here) to avoid crossing at this intersection so we only have to turn left. I am so glad my kids aren't of driving age yet. Someone is going to get killed here and the county is being negligent about it....

Traffic Control Signal needs to be installed at the intersection of Mt. Olive Road and US 441. Left hand turns from Mt. Olive Road are very dangerous and traffic backs up on Mt. Olive Road. Right hand turns are equally dangerous, the additional right lane added years ago on the north bound side causes confusion and difficult to merge with traffic.

This intersection is an accident waiting to happen. They have built Home Goods distribution center, already had Kubota and Freightliner trucking and now they are building a Circle K gas station. All of this growth with no light at either side of Interstate over pass and a speed limit of 55 MPH with limited visibility due to the over pass having a crest to it. This situation has become a very dangerous crisis.

Intersection at first entrance of Kroger coming from 129 needs to be exit only. Second street behind Kroger should be the entrance. This would eleviate some of the congestion that forms at the light. The turn lane also needs to be for the light only. People needing to get into the turn lane to turn left onto 129 are stuck in the straight lane because of people wanting to turn into Kroger at the first entrance.

This exit would also better define the character of the area by allowing Hwy 211 to be a resort/hospital exit, Hwy 53 to be a traditional downtown neighborhood exit and the new industrial exit to be an industrial park exit.

I live on Washington Street and see large tractor trailers, dump trucks and industrial trucks carrying massive construction equipment daily going downtown and turning at the small square. I can't imagine why industrial traffic isn't using the bypass or 85. This type of traffic should be discouraged from downtown with signage or enforcement to ensure they use larger highways. They don't need to use the already congested downtown business/pedestrian district to go from A to B. I have been told it is because some rigs avoid the weigh station on 85 that check their logs for sleep and weight.

This is in part because this Wells Fargo has an absolutely terrible location; However, in the evenings, traffic gets very backed up from the red light on the square in town. Cars end up being backed up almost to the Civic Center. It is also nearly impossible to get turned left out of the Wells Fargo. I also do not think it is marked very well that Sycamore Street is now a one way. I have seen numerous people driving the wrong direction on that road. The whole rebuild of the area is awkwardly constructed and thus causes confusion and built up congestion from the square to the Civic Center.

Jackson County does not currently run any fixed-route buses (bus follows the same

route and stops at pre-determined locations on a pre-determined schedule).

However, as we face growth over the next 25 years, we need to consider where

fixed-route buses may be needed. Please place a pin on a location where a bus stop
