1. WARNING
1.1 Possibility of BLDG induced turbulence and windshear effects when LDG RWY 26L/R in strong winds from S-SW.
1.2 APN and car park’s lighting may be seen before ALS in low VIS at night during APCH RWY 26L/R.
2. RWY RESTRICTION
2.1 RWY 08L/26R is a non-instrument runway and will only be used when RWY 08R/26L is temporarily non-operational by reason of maintenance or incident. Additionally, during weeks where planned maintenance does not take place, RWY 08L/26R will be in use as follows:
2.1.1 Summer Schedule (April to mid July, inclu-sive and mid September to end of October) 2130-0530 (local) Wednesday night/Thurs-day morning;
2.1.2 Summer Peak Period (mid July to second week in September inclusive) 0001-0530 (local) Thursday mornings;
2.1.3 Winter Schedule (November to March), 2100-0530 (local) Wednesday night/Thurs-day morning.
2.2 RWY 08L/26R cannot be used simultane-ously with RWY 08R/26L because of insuf-ficient separation between the two. 3. TAXI
3.1 Do not to accept an ATC CLR into an area not approved for ACFT type.
3.2 ACFT with wingspan 52-65m/170-213ft should note that there is a sub-standard wingtip clearance along TWY L between TWYs R and S. Distance between TWY CL and nearest obstacle is 42.5m/139ft. 3.3 High positioned ENG, such as DC-10 tail
ENG, may not be used for taxiing in the terminal area.
3.4 TWY J beteween TWYJ8 and S limited to use by ACFT with MAX wingspan 30m/98ft during actual TKOF/LDG on RWY 08L/26R.
3.5 TWY J between TWY S and J5 limited to use by ACFT with MAX wingspan 50m/164ft during actual TKOF/LDG on RWY 08L/26R.
3.6 TWY J, East of TWY N all large aircraft must be under tow.
3.7 TWY Z all large aircraft must be under tow. 3.8 TWY Y abeam Pier 1 and Y4 to Y3 all large
aircraft must be under tow.
3.9 Aircraft with wingspan over 61m/200ft must not use TWY L beyond Stand 36 to access Stands 37 and 38.
3.10 TWY Y from its junction with TWY M to abeam with windsleeve is restricted to aircraft with wingspan under 36m/118ft. 3.11 TWY M available as entry point to
RWY 26L but not as exit point from Rwy 08R.
3.12 Select mode S transponder to XPNDR or equivalent, AUTO if available, not OFF or STDBY, and assigned mode A code: - From the request of push-back or taxi,

ACFT taking off from RWY 26R must not commence the TKOF run before reaching the illuminated “START OF ROLL” sign positioned left of the RWY. 2. NOISE ABATEMENT PROCEDURE
2.1 Avoid fl ight below 3000ft over populated areas during visual APCH if possible. ACFT shall not join FNA below 1700ft. ACFT using the ILS shall not descend below 2000ft before intercepting the GP. 2.2 Between 2330-0600 LT ACFT shall not join
extended RWY centreline below 3000ft closer than 10nm from touchdown. 2.3 Do not use reverse thrust if possible

All appropriate RWY exits will be illumi-nated and fi rst convenient exit to be used. Ground Movement Radar (GMR) normally available to monitor pilot “RWY vacated” re-ports. When GMR not available pilots shall report that the ACFT has passed the last alternate yellow and green TWY CL lights. 4. MNM RWY OCCUPANCY TIME 4.1 DIST markings provided for 1st and 2nd
RET on RWY 08R/26L placed at 300m (3 white bars), 200m (2 bars) and 100m (1bar) before RET CL.
4.2 The preferred exit points for RWY 26L are: - Medium/Heavy ACFT: TWY FR (1837m from THR)
- Light/Small ACFT: TWY E (1321m from THR)
4.3 RET standard routings: 4.3.1 RWY 26L:
- via TWY FR: Cross northern RWY without stopping on the RET and turn right onto TWY J.
- via TWY E: Turn right onto northern RWY without stopping.
4.3.2 RWY 08R:
- via TWY B/BR: Route onto TWY P, hold short of TWY J.
4.4 In order to reduce delays and maximise uti-lisation, pilots of small and medium ACFT are requested to consider which RET offers the best opportunity for a safe and expedi-tious exit from the RWY.
4.5 ACFT are not to stop on any RET and do not need CLR to cross RWY 26R when exiting RWY 26L.
4.6 TWY M can not be used as an exit point from RWY 08R.
5. PARKING

5. NOISE ABATEMENT PROCEDURE
5.1 ACFT shall be operated in such a way that it is at an ALT of not less than 1200ft at 6.5km from start of roll. After passing this point, JET ACFT shall maintain a climb gradient of MNM 4% to MNM 3000ft.
5.2 ACFT shall be operated in such a way that it will not cause more noise than:
07-23: LT 94 dBA Lmax. 23-07 LT: 89 dBA Lmax. 2330-0600 LT: 87 dBA Lmax.
6. SPEED

7. MNM RWY OCCUPANCY TIME
7.1 On receipt of Line-up CLR pilots should ensure that they are able to taxi into the correct position at the hold and line up on the RWY as soon as the preceding ACFT has commenced either its TKOF roll or LDG run.
7.2 Pilots should be able to commence the TKOF roll immediately when TKOF CLR issued.
7.3 Pilots not able to comply with these requirements should notify ATC when transferred to TWR FREQ.
8. WARNING - STEPPED CLIMB

1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 Trial P-RNAV SID procedures have been introduced for use by specifi ed aircraft depart-ing London Gatwick and are only available to aircraft operators that have agreement with NATS to participate in the trial. The use of trial procedures will be in accordance with operat-ing procedures agreed between NATS, the participating aircraft operators and approved by the CAA.
1.2 Trial P-RNAV SIDs are available only to aircraft which are equipped and operated in accordance with the requirements of JAA TGL-10, or equivalent, and approved by their State of Registry for P-RNAV operations. 1.3 In addition, trial P-RNAV SIDs are only
avail-able to those aircraft that are either GNSS equipped or that have DME/DME and INS/ IRU with an automatic runway updating capability.
1.4 Trial P-RNAV SIDs are designed in accord-ance with the requirements of PANS-OPS. In addition, guidance for the procedure design has been taken from Eurocontrol document NAV ET1 ST10 edition 3. This procedure is designed to the following criteria: Initial IAS of a maximum of 220kt not above 3000ft, and maximum of 250kt not below 3000ft, a PDG of 5·75%, and a nominal bank angle of 20° up to 1999ft and 25° from 2000ft.
1.5 The procedures meet all of the assump-tions detailed in TGL-10 paragraph 4. For the purposes of TGL-10 paragraph 4(j), operators may assume the availability of radar to assist in contingency procedures. Radiotelephony (RTF) phraseology for the trial will be detailed in the agreed operating procedures (TGL-10, paragraph 4(k) refers).
6. There are no critical navaids associated with the P-RNAV SIDs assuming the use of GNSS or INS/IRU for initial guidance up to an altitude of 2000ft.
2. PURPOSE OF THE P-RNAV SID TRIAL 2.1 The purpose of the trial is:
a. To continue to gain ATC and aircraft operator experience of P-RNAV opera-tions;
b. To assess the track keeping accuracy
of aircraft fl ying P-RNAV SIDs; c. To assess the suitability of existing
design criteria for P-RNAV proce-dures;
d. To assess the fl yability of P-RNAV SIDs.
3. P-RNAV TRIAL PROCEDURES 3.1 Trail P-RNAV SIDs are detailed on charts
60-3 to 60-6.
3.2 P-RNAV SIDs are available for use at ATC discretion, H24.
3.3 P-RNAV SIDs will be clearly identifi ed and distinguishable from conventional SIDs by the use of specifi c suffi x, which will be a ‘Z’ for 08R departures and an ‘X’ for 26L depar-tures.
3.4 Approved operators requesting a trial P-RNAV SID are to request a P-RNAV SID when obtaining their clearance from Gatwick Delivery (121·95 MHz). Aircraft which do not have approval from ATC to fl y the procedure will be issued with the con-ventional SID clearances even if suitably equipped in accordance with JAA TGL-10.
