The Sound Collector

Can you use the plan and write two stanzas of your own using the Sound and lines we made yesterday?

Remember the 2nd and 4th line can rhyme but they don’t have to

and they have the same syllables. You can choose how many syllables your lines have. See example below:

An explorer came to the rainforest this morning, excited for his day. (Rhyme)

Put all the sounds into a bag, and carried them away. (Rhyme) Examples

The fierce pounding of the thunder. (8 syllables)

The rustling of the leaves. (6 syllables)

The trickling of the raindrops. (8 syllables)

The whispering of the breeze.(6 syllables)

Your task is to create your own stanzas using the sounds and examples you created yesterday. Think about the sound and what would link with that sound. Examples:

Slithering – snake Rustling – leaves Tapping – raindrops Squawking - bird
