Introduction
Xeus Express 5 is a free-version software by InfoVista for mobile network optimization.
This guide provides the installation steps for you to run the software. Here is an installation overview:
1. Online registration – Fill in an online registration form with your contact information in order for us to send you the download details for the installer and product ID which you need for installation.
2. Installation – Run the installer and follow the simple on-screen instructions.
3. Product registration and licensing – Enter the product ID that you received via email and perform an online activation before running the software successfully.
2. System Requirements
Here is a list of minimum requirements to run Xeus Express 5. The higher the system specifications would ensure the software run optimally.
Components Requirements
Computer and Processor Pentium-class PC with 500 megahertz (MHz) or higher
Memory 512 MB or higher
Note: 2GB is recommended for optimal Google Earth performance
Hard Disk 500 MB or higher
VGA Card 8 MB or higher
Operating System Windows XP
Windows Vista
Windows 7
Windows 8/8.1
Note: Both 32 & 64-bit are supported for all platforms
Other Software MapInfo Professional version 7.8 or higher
Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0/3.0/3.5/4.0
Google Earth version 4.0 or higher (Free download at earth.google.com)

Online Registration
1. Before downloading the installer, you are required to access the following website:
http://mentum.force.com/lerequest?ProductNameParam=XeusExpress
2. Fill in all mandatory fields denoted by a bold red line on the left of the columns and click Submit.
Note: Ensure your email address is correct in order to receive your product ID. You are unable to run Xeus Express 5 without it.
3. Check your email and you should receive the download information within a few minutes. If you still do not hear from us, repeat steps 1-2 above.

Installation
Follow these procedures once you get the installer: 1. Run the installer.
2. Upon accessing the installation page, click Next to continue.
4. Determining the installation path.
You may either use the default path or select your preferred location by browsing the folder list at the center of the page. Click Next to continue.
6. After the installation is completed, you may click the “Run Infovista Xeus Express 5 Now” checkbox to launch Xeus Express 5 immediately after exiting the installation screen.
7. Click Finish to exit.
* Sometimes the system may require you to reboot your machine to finish the installation where it will prompt you to do so as illustrated below. There are two options:
You may reboot later by un-ticking the Reboot computer now option and Click Finish. Otherwise, just Click Finish and proceed to reboot.
5. Product Registration and Licensing
You have arrived at the final stage of product registration and licensing where the product ID is required here. Upon rebooting your machine, perform the following steps:
1. Double-click the InfoVista Xeus Express 5 icon on your desktop.
Alternately, go to Start Menu > All Programs > InfoVista Xeus Express 5 > InfoVista Xeus Express 5.
2. Enter the product ID at the License Request screen as shown below and click Activation.
6. Running Xeus Express 5 for the First-Time
You must run Xeus Express 5 with Administrator mode for the first time in order to use all of its features and run the system smoothly.
To run Xeus Express 5 with the Administrator mode:
Xeus Express 5 - Run as Administrator
Right-click on the Xeus Express 5 icon and select the “Run as administrator” option. You are now ready to run Xeus Express 5.
6. Troubleshooting
After installation and running Xeus Express for the first time – if you encounter an error message “License Features Not Available”. Please proceed with the following instructions below to solve this error message. Please note that Xeus Express comes with a Standalone license. If you have an LSFORCEHOST environment variable (pointing towards a Floating License Server) configured on your machine you will need to delete it for Xeus Express to work. To do so;
1. Go to Start>>Right-click on Computer>>Select Properties>>On left, click on Advanced system settings 2. Select the Advanced tab>>Environmental Variables
3. In the System variables section, select LSFORCEHOST and click Delete.
