What is Search Engine Reputation Management?

Search engine reputation management (SERM) is the process of monitoring search results

related to your name/service/company and associated keywords to ensure that people only see those results on search engines, the ones you want them to see.

Interested customers will search for your business by typing relevant keywords. If they’re not impressed by what they see, they’ll soon find a competitor.

Hence, online reputation management (ORM) is about giving businesses and individuals the power to manage what people see when searching for their brand or name. With the internet growing ever rapidly, and technology increasing in importance, protecting your reputation may seem like a very difficult endeavor. If you want to tackle critical news, bad reviews, criticism on social media or in forums, or any other undesired search results linked to your brand or name, you require an expert ORM company whose results speak for themselves.

Search results can make or break your business, and can potentially damage your personal life severely. If your company’s or name’s top search results are positive, the odd bit of bad press or criticism will be hidden to most surfers. This is the essence of what ORM is about.

We first analyzed the assets that were currently in place and planned how we could utilise them to have a clean Google page one. Their business had 2 high quality and interactive microsites that were high on Google page one, therefore we promoted them to further ensure that they would remain on Google page one.

The company had made one social networking site but was of a poor quality. We started working on their profile to make it look credible so that it could help maximise sales potential and to interact in the correct manner with the public. We then utilized other social networking tools and sites such as: Google Plus and LinkedIn started promoted them because such websites tend to appear higher on search engines quickly. With these sites, we had a sufficient amount of online assets to lower the negative reviews from Google page one.

We first analyzed the assets that were currently in place and planned how we could utilise them to have a clean Google page one. Their business had quite a few blogs but they were

ill-maintained. We overtook the blogs and worked on the keywords on which negative listings were showing up to replace them with our positive content.

The company didn’t have any profile on any social networking website, so we created few

accounts on social networking websites, however we didn’t lay strong focus on social profiles as they had other assets which we utilized perfectly. The last thing we did was to converse with customers who put negative stuff about their company and in cooperation with Regent Markets, resolved their issues by providing them lucrative offers.
