Accessing Lexus Website Tools / Cobalt Motorplace
Not every user will have access to every tool available in Motorplace. Consult with Dealership Administrator of the Motorplace accounts to assist you in deciding which Website tools you need access to.
Steps:
1. Go to www.lexusdealersonline.com (Bookmark this as a Favorites in your Browser)
2. At the bottom of the page, log in to My Motorplace, Customer Login using a User Name and Password. (Note: If you do not have a designated Motorplace Login/Password, contact you dealership Program Coordinator (PC) or Lexus eCare (1-888-465-5583) to create an account.)
Using MotorPlace Website Tools
Once you log into MotorPlace, you will be able to see all of the tools in the menu on the left side (illustrated with a red box). Site Reporter is the tool that shows traffic to your site and is circled in red below.

Lexus Program Website Tool Breakdown
AdWizard Tools
- Allows dealers to capture real leads from their websites with
exciting, professional looking advertisements produced from their computer.
AdWizard Plus Promo – Used to build service and parts specials.
They appear on “Specials” page under the Parts and Service tab Specials
Menu to the upper right of the page.
AdWizard Plus Used – Used to build Pre-Owned Specials. They
appear on the “Specials” page under the Pre-Owned tab of the Specials
menu to the upper right of the page.
AutoShow Inventory Manager
- Allows dealers to upload and manage their
current website Pre-Owned vehicle listings, including vehicle photo uploads.
Note: Typically not used very often when a dealer is sending Cobalt an ftp from a 3rd party vendor, as they provide updated inventory lists on behalf of the dealer. For a list of Cobalt’s import partners, please contact Lexus eCare at (1-888-465-5583).
Marketing Library Manager
- Used to store edit or delete library assets that
you have previously saved.
The tool was designed to help upload images, SWF files and Video files to be used on your Website through the editing tool of Website Manager. This also allows you to store images for future use on the site.
Secure Forms
- Used to access the Finance Prequalification Form
associated with your website.
Note: You may turn this form off on your website and rely on the Lexus LFI Apply for Credit Form only. If this is the case, the customer’s credit request is sent directly to LFI for processing and then LFI sends the results to the dealership via their normal financing process. There is no notification for those customers submitting the LFI Credit Form.
Site Reporter
- Used to measure and monitor your website performance by
tracking traffic to your site.
The tool provides you with a robust look at your website performance by tracking traffic, referral data and lead volume. Using the dashboard, you can see performance graphics based on any specific area you would like to measure. You also have the ability to create ad hoc reports for measuring and improving website performance.
Website Manager
- Used to edit your Lexus website. Every dealer has this
tool, but access is typically limited to only those at the dealership who have this
responsibility.

Lead Manager Customer Central
- Used to manage your leads. Many
dealers have a CRM or ILM solution now, but if you are using Outlook or other
email folders, this is a fantastic tool to help manage your leads.
The tool is a web-based contact management solution that collects leads from the internet and the dealership showroom (manual entry). Lead Manager allows more effective lead processing, from the initial contact to the final sale, as well as post-sale follow up and remarketing. Reporting features assist Management with ensuring proper follow up and places responsibility with dealership staff for prompt service.
Media Tracker
- Used to access your 800# calls for tracking and phone
training.
The tool helps track and analyze the effectiveness of your dealership’s advertising campaigns and online sources by utilizing phone numbers. Calls are tracked real-time and recorded so management can use as a training tool for staff. Reports allow you to view and get the highest return form your marketing investment.
Cobalt University: Online Training Resource
To take advantage of the FREE online training courses for all of the Motor Place tools, click on
http://www.cobaltu.com to register and review online courses. In order to participate in training, you will need access to a computer with an Internet connection (high speed preferred) and a separate voice telephone line. Courses can be taken at your leisure or by taking advantage of our scheduled live classes, where applied.
Once logged in, by selecting “Training Catalog”, you can see all of the areas where Cobalt offers courses. By selecting the title you’ll get summary of the course. You can select enroll to add it to your “My Training” folder.
To assist you with picking a few starter courses, Cobalt has outlined recommended courses and listed them on the lexusdealersonline.com website. This is a good place to start for someone new to Cobalt Tools and below is a list.
