Foreword



CX600-X is a high-end router designed for core and

backbone networks. The CX600-X is positioned as the edge

or convergence router on the IP backbone network.



Based on the powerful Versatile Routing Platform (VRP),

Power Supply System



The CX600-X16 supports either DC or AC

power supply.

 In the case of a DC power supply system, eight 70 A

Power Entry Modules (PEMs) are inserted at the rear of the chassis, working in 4+4 load balancing mode.

 In the case of an AC power supply system, two AC

power frames are placed outside the chassis and installed with rectifier modules based on system

power. The AC power frames are then connected to the input terminals on the DC-PEMs to supply power for the system. (In short, external AC power frames are added to the DC power supply system to

constitute an AC power supply system).



The CX600-X16 backplane is divided into

four areas, with each area having two

power inputs. These eight power inputs

work in backup mode.

The CX600-X16 has 4 SFUs. These 4 SFUs work in 3+1 load balancing mode. The

4 SFUs load balance services at the same time. When one SFU is faulty or being

replaced, the other 3 SFUs automatically take over its tasks to ensure normal

delivery of services, thus improving system reliability.

MPU is responsible for management and controlling including route calculating,

monitoring and maintenance.



Main processing module, clock module and LAN Switch all use 1:1 hot

redundancy



The two MPUs work in 1:1 backup mode. Each MPU monitors the status of the

other. If the master SRU is faulty, the slave MPU automatically takes over as the

master MPU.

Power Supply System



The CX600-X8 supports either DC or AC

power supply.

Power Entry Modules (PEMs) are inserted at the rear of the chassis, working in 2+2 load balancing mode.

Note:



Placing a black sponge air filter at the air intake vent helps to prevent dust from

entering the system. It is recommended that air filters be removed and cleaned

at least once every three months.

monitoring plane. The SRU is used by the CX600-X8.



The two SRUs work in 1:1 backup mode. Each SRU monitors the status

Power Supply System



The CX600-X3 supports either DC or AC

power supply.



Power modules convert the input voltage into

-48 V DC voltage to supply power for the

entire system. The power supply system has

the following features:



The power supply system consists of two

AC power modules or two DC power

modules working in 1+1 backup mode.



Both AC power modules and DC power

modules support alarm functions. DC

power modules support I2C

communications and AC power modules

support RS485 communications.



Two AC power modules or two DC power

modules work in 1+1 backup mode to

improve the reliability of power supply.

Overview-CX600-X2 System Structure



The CX600-X2 provides two slots for NPUs and eight slots for

PICs. The network process unit on the CX600-X2 is NPUI-20. All

the PICs perform data switching through the 20. The

NPUI-20 has a bidirectional processing capability of up to NPUI-20Gbit/s. The

Integrated Line Processing Unit NPUI-20



The NPUI-20 has the bidirectional 20-Gbit/s forwarding capability,

and all subcards switch data through the NPUI-20. An NPUI-20

provides two 10G Ethernet optical interfaces that can work in the

WAN or LAN mode and can be installed with XFP optical modules.

Control Plane



The function of control plane is implemented by the MPU.



MPU can be equipped with a single MPU or double MPUs (in backup

mode).



In the case of double MPUs, the master MPU works and the slave MPU is

in the standby state.
