Where Everyone is Someone

A Message from your Exalter Ruler…

Greetings to all Members of the Westbrook Lodge #1784

I hope this letter finds you and your loved ones in good

health. At this time the Covid-19 epidemic is rapidly

increasing throughout the country. Westbrook is now in the

red for positive cases. Governor Lamont has rolled back

Phase 3 to Phase 2.1 and is considering going back to Phase

1. The Board of Directors and I have made the decision to

implement a new protocol of taking the temperature of anyone entering the

building and having them sign a contact tracing form. We felt it best for

everyone’s safety.

Our District Deputy has informed us that this year’s Memorial Service held

on the first Sunday in December will be done virtually, again for everyone’s

safety.

I would like to Thank our Veteran’s Committee for a beautiful Flag

Retirement Ceremony last month.

At this time we are still working to improve the Lodge, we are installing new

concrete steps to the front door for safer access to the facility.

We are still planning Dinner by the Sea for New Year’s Eve (reservations

required) and our annual Bloody Mary Lunch New Year’s Day.

I would like to take this time to wish all Members and their families a very

Merry Christmas and a Healthy and Happy New Year.

Please check our Facebook page for any further updates as things have been

changing on a daily basis.

Fraternally,

Joe Carpio

Exalted Ruler

ENF Per-Member-Giving Goal

Right now, our Lodge is averaging under a $1.00 per

member. Elks’ support makes the work of the ENF

possible, and every donation helps. To encourage

support, the National President announces a

per-member-giving goal ever year. This year, the goal is $4.80.

Lodges that reach the per-member-giving goal this year

are eligible for a Gratitude Grant next year.

If you have not donated this year, or if your donation was

under our Lodge’s goal,

your support is not only appreciated but needed. Anyone

who needs help donating online, feel free to reach out to

me or send your donation directly to our Lodge. Please

include “ENF donation” in the memo line.

Thank you,

Linda Nolf
