Application Form:
Leader, Great Teaching Program
Who we are
We believe in an Australia where a child’s prospects are not determined by their ethnicity, location or socio-economic status. Good to Great Schools Australia (GGSA) supports schools to make their transformational journey from Poor to Fair to Good to Great. We do this by attending to the three simple but profound elements identified in the international evidence on school improvement: Great Teachers, Effective Instruction and Every Child.
All Good to Great Schools have direct and/or explicit direct instruction as central teaching practices, whilst including rich programs in local culture, music, art and performance – and strong attention to student welfare and personal development. This wider curriculum framework is called the 5Cs: Childhood, Class, Club, Culture and Community.
GGSA has an experienced team of professionals who support the school team, students and parents to effectively deliver the 5C’s. Each school receives significant training, coaching, data monitoring and tools to enable them to develop into great teachers delivering Effective Instruction to every child and to continually improve on the journey to becoming a great school. Employment is conditional upon the acceptance of the Statement of Principles for Employment for Good to Great Schools Australia and the Code of Conduct for Employees of Good to Great Schools Australia.
