Middle School Hours of Operation

Hours are 9:30 AM to 4:15 PM

Friday 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM

We offer free breakfast to all students from 9:00 AM to 9:25 AM

The first bell rings at 9:25 AM which signals students to report to

class

The tardy bell rings at 9:30 AM indicating the start of school

Class will not be interrupted for messages or dropped off items.

What to Expect in Middle School

Expectations and Procedures

 Follow your REPPS

 Be Respectful, Engaged, Prompt, Prepared and Safe  Dress Code

 Dress Code Policy in the registration packet  Homework Policy

 An average of 10 minutes of homework per subject per night  Transitioning from class to class

You will have 7 classes a day. Each class is approximately 45 minutes long.

 Watch your time and adjust your route as needed  Concentrate on going from point A to point B

 One Directional Hallways (Follow the arrows on the wall)  Entering and exiting the cafeteria

 Walk in an orderly fashion and sit in your assigned location

 Wait to be dismissed from your table to enter the lunch line. Ask for

 One semester taken in both 7th and 8th grade  Students change into PE uniforms

 Locks are required for PE lockers and must be purchased from the

school for security reasons.

 Students are NOT required to shower

 PE Waivers are available for academic or medical necessity. If

your child meets the criteria and it is your intention to request a waiver, please contact the guidance office to obtain a form.

PE Waivers Due May 28th, 2021, must be printed and submitted to Mrs.

Johnson will be distributing Registration Packets to your schools

after Spring Break.

Packets can be printed from our website but may not be

submitted electronically.

Incomplete packets will NOT be accepted

All Late packets must be returned to Johnson Middle School

directly.

Being Successful at Johnson

Middle School means…

 “Get to know your teachers and counselor, because if you are

struggling they can help get you on track.”

 “Drama is NOT worth your time. Go to guidance if you need help.”

 “Don’t worry about getting lost, because the adults are really nice and

can help you figure out where you need to go. All the teachers stand by their door to help students in the hallways and there are several adults on the patio to point you in the right direction.”

 “I learned this the hard way, but if you get your classwork done in class,
