IDTA MT4 Demo Platform Start-up Guide

MT4 Introduction

MT4 is a state of the art CFD Trading Platform that is now available in over 40 languages.

MT4 is will enable IDTA traders around the world to trade the IDTA Strategy on over 4000

markets without the restrictions some countries face regarding “account funding”. MT4 also

allows existing IDTA Traders to trade “longer term signals” with significantly less complexity

to a Futures Contract.

MT4 is now the IDTA CFD ‘Platform of Choice’. MT4, when partnered with our licensee,

Intelligent Financial market (IFM), is a powerful potential force in the trading arena.

MT4 Trading Account Opening Steps

Step One: Click the icon below:

Step Two: Click on the Demo Account Button.

The MT4 Demo Account button, in gray below, will allow you to open a Demo Account and

start practicing your trading.

The Demo Account will run for 30 days allowing you to practice your trading prior to even

funding a Live Trading Account.

Step 3: Fill in the required information.

When you click on the above link you will be taken to the MT4 Account Sing Up page as per

the image below.

1. Please tick ‘MT4 Standard’.

2. Please fill in all of the required fields.

Step Four: Start the Download your Platform.

When you click on the above black “Submit” button, the drop down window shown below

will appear on your screen.

1. Your next step is to press the ‘Download Hyperlink’

(in red text)

as indicated in the

circle below. This will initiate your MT4 Demo Download.

Step Five: Continue the Download of your Platform.

When you click on the above black ‘Download Hyperlink’

(in red text)

the following ‘pop-up’

will appear on your screen.

What do you need to do?

1. Click “Yes, I agree with all terms of the licence agreement”.

2. Click on the “Next” button.

Step Six: Continue the Download of your Platform.

When you click on the above “Next” button you will see the following image.

What do you need to do?

1. Tick the “Create a desktop shortcut”.

2. Tick the “Launch program after successful installation”.

3. Click on the “Next” button.

Step Seven: Continue the Download of your Platform.

MT4 will then commence its download process and you will see an image similar to that

below.

What do you need to do?

1. Wait for the download process to complete in full. When it does complete, press

“finish” as circled in the second image below.

2. You will also find that the MT4 Icon is now on your desk top.

Step Eight: Create Your Demo Account.

MT4 will now ask you to create a demo account, of which the process is clearly defined in

the image below.

What do you need to do?

1. Click on the icon on your desktop to launch your MT4 software.

2. Go to File, Open an Account.

3. Enter your details and select the amount of virtual funds to deposit (e.g. $5000).

4. Click the 'I agree to subscribe to your newsletters' box.

5. Click Next.

6. Select the server type (Intell-US03-Demo: Standard Account)/ (Intell-US01-Demo: Pro

Accounts).

7. Click Next.

8. You will then receive your Demo Account logins.

9. Begin demo trading.

Step Nine: Create Your Demo Account.

MT4 will now launch and when it does it will ask you to select a trading server as per the

image below. I selected the first choice (already highlighted in blue) and clicked on the

“Next” button.

Step Ten: Select Your Account Type.

MT4 will now ask you to connect to either an “Existing trade account” or a “New demo

account”.

1. All new traders should select “New demo account”.

2. Then select “Next”.

Step Eleven: Enter Your Personal Information.

MT4 will now ask you to enter your personal information, select an “Account Type”

(expressed in a currency) tick a box “I agree to subscribe to your newsletters”.

1. Please enter all required personal information.

2. Please select the “Account Type” (currency) of your choice. Your account will be

expressed in your chosen currency. Most traders will select US Dollars.

3. Tick the “I agree to subscribe to your newsletters”.

4. Click the “Next Button”.

Step Twelve: Demo Licence Registration Step.

MT4 will now seek to register your Demo Account and you will see some of your personal

information in a window similar to that below.

Please take note of your user name and password and write them down for your

records.

2.

Once you have written your log in details down, click the “Finish” button when this

window has completed its process.

3.

Your MT4 Charts will now be displayed on your PC and you should be connected to

your Data, meaning that your charts will be moving.
